How to get Oversoul Edict (Crota’s End Raid Pulse Rifle) in Destiny 2
Oversoul Edict is a returning Pulse Rifle from Crota’s End Raid. This is a rapid-fire frame puls rifle, meaning it could be great in both PVE and PVP. Today I am going to take a closer look at this raid pulse rifle, look at the stats, the perks, the god rolls to chase for PVP and PVE, plus how to get Oversoul Edict in Destiny 2.
How to get Oversoul Edict
To get Oversoul Edict you’ll want to run Crota’s End Raid in Destiny 2. You can find this in the Legends tab in the Director. You’re going to need a team, so either find some clanmates, friends or find a team through LFG, Bungie has a good one on their website or mobile app.
You can get Oversoul Edict from the 2nd encounter (Cross the Bridge) or the 3rd encounter (Ir Yut, The Deathsinger). Once you have it drop for you, it’s also possible to get Oversoul Edict from the secret chest, plus you can pick one up from the raid vendor at the end (the sword in the ground after you beat Crota). This is also a craftable weapon, so get 5 red borders and extract the deepsight to craft your very own Oversoul Edict at the Enclave on Savathun’s Throne World.
Oversoul Edict
Oversoul Edict is a Legendary Energy Arc Pulse Rifle with a Rapid-Fire Frame meaning deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reload when magazine is empty. Looking at the stats we have Impact 23, Range 27, Stability 47, Handling 22, Reload Speed 34, Airborne Effectiveness 22, Rounds Per Minute 540, and Magazine 36.
We also have a unique origin trait to Crota’s End weapons called Cursed Thrall, this is where after defeating a target with a melee attack, final blows with this weapon cause targets to explode for a short duration.
Rapid-fire frame Pulse Rifles have had a major impact on the sandbox before, for example when Darkest Before was popular back in Season 15. Oversould Edict has the perk combinations to make this one extremely potent in PVE and PVP including Eye of the Storm, Moving Target, Keep Away or Headseeker, just to name a few highlights. The addition of Voltshot helps make this one viable in PVE, even though 540 pulse rifles aren’t in the best place for PVE right now.
Oversoul Edict God Roll Guide
For PVP Arrowhead Brake, Armor-Piercing Rounds, Keep Away and Sword Logic would be good.
- Arrowhead Brake – Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
- Armor-Piercing Rounds – Slightly increases range
- Keep Away – Increases reload, range, and accuracy when no targets are in close proximity.
- Sword Logic – Final blows with this weapon grant bonus damage. The strength and duration of the bonus increases when more powerful targets are defeated.
For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Ricochet Rounds, Encore, and Voltshot would be good.
- Arrowhead Brake – Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
- Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability, slightly increases range
- Encore – Final blows grant a stacking stability, range, and accuracy bonus to this weapon. Precision final blows grant more stacks.
- Voltshot – Reloading this weapon after defeating a target overcharges this weapon for a short period of time, causing it to jolt on its next hit.
