Season of the WitchWeapon Reviews

How to get Locus Locutus (Legendary Sniper Rifle) in Destiny 2

Locus Locutus is an adaptive stasis Sniper added to Destiny 2 in Season of the Witch. This one is a decent sniper in that 90 rpm archetype, and there are decent rolls for PVP and PVE. Today I am going to take a closer look at the sniper, the stats, perks, god rolls plus how to get Locus Locutus in Destiny 2.

How to get Locus Locutus

To get this one you have to run the seasonal activities called Savathun’s Spire or Altars of Summoning, complete these and you’ll get a random weapon drop which can be Locus Locutus. You can also focus engrams in the H.E.L.M. at the Ritual Table. You can also craft the weapon by getting 5 red borders of the weapon and levelling them up and extracting the Deepsight. Do this you’ll get the pattern and then you can go to the enclave on Savathun’s Throne World and craft Locus Locutus.

Locus Locutus

Locus Locutus is a Legendary Kinetic Sniper Rifle with an Adaptive Frame meaning it has a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. Looking at the stats we have Impact 70, Range 48, Stability 44, Handling 42, Reload Speed 42, Airborne Effectiveness 4, Rounds Per Minute 90, and Magazine 4.

The origin trait here is Head Rush, this is where standing up after crouching for a short time grants this weapon a brief period of improved handling and reload speed.

Locus Locutus God Roll Guide

For PVE Arrowhead Break, Accurized Rounds, Overflow and Box Breathing would be good.

  • Arrowhead Break – Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
  • Accurized Rounds – Increases range
  • Overflow – Picking up Special or Heavy ammo automatically loads this weapon beyond normal capacity.
  • Box Breathing – Aiming this weapon for a short period without firing grants bonus range and precision damage that resets after firing or exiting zoom.

For PVP Corkscrew Rifling, Tactical Mag, Keep Away, and Opening Shot would be good.

  • Corkscrew Rifling – Slightly increases range and stability, Slightly increases handling speed
  • Tactical Mag – Slightly increases stability, Increases reload speed, Slightly increases magazine size
  • Keep Away – Increases reload, range, and accuracy when no targets are in close proximity.
  • Opening Shot – Improved accuracy and range on the opening shot of attack.
