Solstice Weapons Guide and God Rolls in Destiny 2

Solstice is back in Destiny 2 and that means loot to chase. Today I am going to go through the god rolls for the Solstice weapons, plus how to get them so you can get those improved rolls throughout the summer event in Destiny 2.

Before we jump into the loot make sure you can access The Solstice activity, Bonfire Bash, and you’ve had a chat with Eva Levante in the Tower and picked up your Solstice Armor. Eva has a short quest, which runs you through the European Aerial Zone activity and then you’ll get random rolls of the weapons at the end of the activity. Solstice is pretty generous, so you should be getting decent rolls of the weapons in no time at all.

We have 3 weapons to chase; The Crowning Duologue Strand Rocket Launcher, Something New Stasis Hand Cannon and the Compass Rose Shotgun. Lets have a look at them one-by-one.

Crowning Duologue

Crowning Duologue is a Legendary Power Rocket Launcher with a Precision Frame meaning the weapon fires a small auto-tracking missile. Missiles lock onto targets when aimed. Looking at the stats we have Blast Radius 30, Velocity 51, Stability 39, Handling 40, Reload Speed 29, Airborne Effectiveness 3, Bounce Intensity 35, Rounds Per Minute 15 and Magazine 1.

For PVE Quick Launch, Black Powder, Auto-Loading Holster, and Chain Reaction/Hatchling would be good.

  • Quick Launch – Greatly increases handling speed, Increases projectile speed
  • Black Powder – Slightly increases blast radius, Decreases stability
  • Auto-Loading Holster – The holstered weapon is automatically reloaded after a short period of time.
  • Chain Reaction/Hatchling – Each final blow with this weapon creates an elemental damage explosion or precision final blows or rapidly defeating targets with a non-precision weapon spawns a Threadling at the target’s location.

For PVP Quick Launch, High Velocity Rounds, Impulse Amplifier and Cluster Bomb would be good.

  • Quick Launch – Greatly increases handling speed, Increases projectile speed
  • High Velocity Rounds – Increases projectile speed, Increases reload speed
  • Impulse Amplifier – Massively increases projectile velocity, increases reload speed.
  • Cluster Bomb – Rockets spawn cluster bombs upon detonation.

Something New

Something New is a Legendary Kinetic Hand Cannon with an Aggressive Frame meaning it has high damage, high recoil. Optimized for long-distance shooting. Looking at the stats we have Impact 92, Range 58, Stability 27, Handling 24, Reload Speed 25, Rounds Per Minute 120 and Magazine 8.

For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Ricochet Rounds, Wellspring, Headstone

  • Arrowhead Brake – Lightly vented barrel, Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
  • Ricochet Rounds – Rounds ricochet off hard surfaces. Increases stability. Slightly increases range
  • Wellspring – Kills with this weapon generate ability energy. This energy is divided between your uncharged abilities
  • Headstone – Precision final blows spawn a Stasis crystal at the victim’s location.

For PVP Arrowhead Brake, High-Caliber Rounds, Wellspring, Multikill Clip

  • Arrowhead Brake – Lightly vented barrel, Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
  • High-Caliber Rounds – Shots from this weapon knock the target back farther. Slightly increases range
  • Wellspring – Kills with this weapon generate ability energy. This energy is divided between your uncharged abilities
  • Multikill Clip – Reloading grants increased damage based on the number of rapid kills made beforehand.

Compass Rose

Compass Rose is a Legendary Energy Shotgun with a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 70, Range 66, Stability 47, Handling 42, Reload Speed 53, Rounds Per Minute 65, and Magazine 5.

For PVE Rifled Barrel, Assualt Mag, Surplus, and Trench Barrel is a good roll to look out for. Rifled Barrel gives you can increase to the range, but a decrease to handling, Assault Mag improves stability and an increased rate of fire, surplus gives you increased reload, handling and stability for each fully charged ability and then trench barrel get increased damage, handling and reload speed after a melee hit.

For PVP Quickdraw, Snapshot Sights, Barrel Shroud and Light Mag would be good. Barrel Shroud gives you that increase in stability and handling, and Light Mag boosts reload speed and a slight increase in the range. Quickdraw gets the weapon in your hands nice and fast and Snapshot Sights makes it quicker to aim down sights.
