Best Rapid-Fire Fusion Rifles for PVP in Destiny 2

Rapid-fire frame fusion rifles got nerfed pretty hard in their last update, but good news, they are about to get a significant buff in PVP, so if you are a fan of this type of fusion in PVP, then now is time to start looking through your vault, or time to pick up a new one. Today I am going to check out some great rapid-fire fusion rifles.

Bungie are about to improve rapid-fire fusion rifles in the game, specifically in PVP, which is likely to have a major impact on their use. Guardians of all resilience levels will be defeating in 7 bolts, plus they are getting a nice improvement to ease of use. So if you’re not on the rapid-fire fusion train yet, then it’s nearly time to get back on, because a big improvement is on it’s way.

Without furher delay lets check out the best rapid-fire fusions to get in the game.

Likely Suspect

This is a decent rapid-fire frame fusion that deals void damage.

For PVP Arrowhead Brake, Particle Repeater, Firmly Planted, and Successful Warm-Up would be a decent roll. Firmly planted is where you get increased accuracy, stability, and handling when firing while crouched. Successful Warm-Up is where, each final blow increases charge/draw speed. Given this one can be crafted too, look out for the enhanced perks.

This one was added into the game as part of the Witch Queen expansion, so you can get it by ranking up with Fynch on the Throne World, and also it’s a post-campaign reward. You can also craft this one, if you collect the red bordered versions of the weapon.

Null Composure

Null Compsure is a former ritual weapon, added in Season of the Splicer. This is a void rapid-fire fusion, so will work well with void builds. Given it’s a former ritual weapon, then it has a choice of perks

In the 3rd slot, we can choose from Feeding Frenzy, where each rapid kill with this weapon progressively increases reload speed for a short time, and Heating Up where final blows with this weapon increase accuracy and stability while improving vertical recoil.

In the 4th slot, we have a choice of Reservoir Burst, when the battery is full your next burst deals additional damage and causes enemies to explode on death, and High-Impact Reserves where rounds at the end of the magazine deal more damage. Personally, I am enjoying Reservoir Burst and Feeding Frenzy, but it’s up to you.

You can get this from the monument to lost lights in the tower, and buy it for materials.

Cartesian Coordinate

Cartesian Coordinate is a Legendary Energy Fusion Rifle with a Rapid-Fire Frame meaning Deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reload when the magazine is empty.

For PVP Red Dot Micro, Enhanced Battery, Under Pressure, and High-Impact Reserves would be a decent roll. Red Dot Micro increases range and handling speed, always good for PVP. Enhanced Battery increases the magazine size so you can kill more Guardians. Under Pressure improves accuracy and stability as the magazine gets lower, finally, we have High-Impact Reserves where rounds at the end of the magazine deal more damage.

This isn’t as easy to get as it once was, you’ll have to wait for Xur to sell it, or for it to be added back into the World Loot pool.

Iterative Loop

Iterative Loop is a Legendary Energy Fusion Rifle with a Rapid-Fire Frame, plus it deals arc Damage, so great for arc builds. The Origin Trait on this one is Nanotech Tracer Rockets, which means landing multiple hits turns your next shot into a homing micro-rocket.

For PVP Smallbore, Projection Fuse, Under Pressure and Kickstart would be good. Under Pressure is where you get improved stability and accuracy as the magazine gets lower. Then Kickstart, where you gain bonus damage and charge rate during a slide after sprinting for an improved duration.

To get this one your best bet is to rank up with Nimbus on Neomuna. When you get 5 deep sight versions of the weapon you’ll be able to craft this one for yourself. There are a couple of ways to get the deep sight version, which has a red border. Get engrams from ranking up with Nimbus, once you’ve maxed out their reputation track (after rank 30), open terminal overload chest rewards with keys, plus heroic patrols on Neomuna.

Zealot’s Reward

This is another void energy rapid fire frame fusion.

For PVP you’ll want to use Hammer-Forged Rifling for the range, plus Projection Fuse too. Under Pressure is always on in PVP, and you get a boost to stability and accuracy. Back up plan gives you that faster swap and charge time.

You can only get this one from the Garden of Salvation raid, and it’ll drop from the first encounter, where you have to get through the gate with the Harpy boss. Once it’s in your loot pool it can drop from the secret chests in the raid.

At the time of making this guide it’s not a craftable weapon, however, that may change in the future, much like Deep Stone Crypt weapons.

Riptide

Riptide is a stasis fusion rifle, and is perfect for stasis builds. I love this one in PVE content, it melts enemies, however, this is about to get good in PVP too.

For PVP Chambered Compensator, Liquid Coils, Perpetual Motion and Successful Warm-up would be a good roll. Perpetual Motion is where this weapon gains bonus stability, handling, and reload speed while the wielder is in motion. Successful Warm-up is where each final blow increases charge/draw speed.

To get Riptide you have to go into the Crucible. Riptide is a random reward from Crucible matches, and it will drop at the end. You can also focus engrams at Lord Shaxx in the tower to get this one.

That’s it for this look at the best rapid-fire fusion rifles to pick up in Destiny 2, let me know which ones you like and if I have missed anything.
