How to get Nessa’s Oblation (Root of Nightmares Raid Shotgun) plus god roll guide in Destiny 2
Nessa’s Oblation is a shotgun added to Destiny 2 as part of the Root of Nightmares raid. This is a devastating PVE shotgun, which also performs pretty well in PVP too. Today I want to dive into the stats, the perks, the god rolls for PVE and PVP, plus how to get Nessa’s Oblation in Destiny 2.
How to get Nessa’s Oblation
To get this shotgun you have to run the Root of Nightmares raid in Destiny 2 Lightfall. You can access this from Neomuna via the director. It has the chance to drop from the first, second and final encounter. Plus once you have 5 red border versions, you can craft it at the Enclave on Mars.
Nessa’s Oblation
Nessa’s Oblation is a Legendary Energy Shotgun is a Pinpoint Slug Frame that fires a single-slug round. This weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 70, Range 63, Stability 47, Handling 69, Reload Speed 49, Airborne Effectiveness 5, Rounds Per Minute 65, and Magazine 6.
The origin trait on the Root of Nightmares weapons is Harmonic Resonance. Equipping multiple weapons from this set grants this weapon increased reload speed and handling. It also deals increased damage versus Tormentors, Lucent Hive, and Guardians using their Supers.
While it’s possible to use this gun in crucible, the rolls look very suited to PVE content. The combo of Repulsor Brace plus Destabilizing Rounds is very fun for giving you over shields. Plus you have combinations like Fourth Time’s the Charm and Vorpal Weapon for high DPS. This one also rolls with Reconstruction if you want to over fill the mag with reserves.
