Mantle of Battle Harmony works great with Warlock Stasis builds and today I am going to put together an endgame build, that’s going to have you freezing and shattering enemies. I’ll run through the stasis set-up, the weapons, armour and mods, plus look at how it all comes together, so you can use Stasis and Mantle of Battle Harmony together in Destiny 2.
Without further delay, let’s dive into this build.
Super: Winter’s Wrath
Grenade: Coldsnap Grenade
Melee: Penumbral Blast
Class Ability: Healing Rift
Bleak Watcher – Press and hold the grenade button to convert your grenade into a Stasis turret that fires slowing projectiles at nearby targets.
Glacial Harvest – Freezing targets creates Stasis shards around the frozen targets. Higher-tier combatants create more shards.
Whisper of Conduction — Nearby Stasis shards track to your position.
Whisper of Bonds – Defeating frozen targets grants you Super energy.
Whisper of Shards – Shattering a Stasis crystal temporarily boosts your grenade recharge rate. Shattering additional Stasis crystals increases the duration of this benefit.
Whisper of Chains — While you are near frozen targets or a friendly Stasis crystal, you take reduced damage from targets
Exotic Armor – Mantle of Battle Harmony
Mantle of Battle Harmony is an Exotic Warlock Chest Armor that comes with the perk
Absorption Cells – Takedowns with weapons that have a damage type matching your subclass element grant you Super energy. While your Super energy is full, you instead gain a temporary bonus to weapon damage of the type matching your subclass element.
When you defeat enemies with a weapon that has the same damage as your subclass element, then you get a boost to super energy regeneration. If your super is full, then you get a 20% damage boost.
You can get this one from Lost Sectors on chest day when you complete it solo via Legend and Master difficulty.
Kinetic – Perses-D
Perses-D is a Legendary Kinetic Scout Rifle is a High-Impact Frame meaning it’s slow-firing and high-damage. This weapon is more accurate when stationary and aiming down sights. Rapid hit and Headstone would be a decent roll for PVE content.
Energy – Graviton Lance
Graviton Lance is an Exotic Energy Pulse Rifle. Let’s check out the perks on this one.
- Black Hole – Second shot of a burst rips a hole through space-time, doing high damage and recoil with no falloff.
- Cosmology – Kills with this weapon cause enemy targets to detonate and spawn Void projectiles that track targets.
Graviton Lance is great it’s another random exotic drop or you can pick it up from Xur when he’s selling it. If you have a Collective Obligation, that’s also good too.
Power – Chain of Command
This is a useful machine gun that comes with a selection of perks. We have Adrenaline Junkie, Demolitionist, Osmosis and Adaptive Munitions. I’m going for Adrenaline Junkie and Demolitionist, given the grenade focus of the build. Demolitionist in particular is good because kills with this weapon generate grenade energy.
- Elemental Ordnance – Defeating a combatant with a grenade spawns an elemental well that matches your subclass energy type.
- Bountiful Wells – Elemental well mods that cause you to spawn elemental wells can now stack, spawning additional wells for each additional copy of the mod you have equipped.
- Font of Might – Picking up an elemental well that matches your subclass energy type grants a temporary bonus to weapon damage
- Elemental Shards – Stasis Shards count as Stasis Elemental Wells for you. Does not apply to Cruicble, Trials or Iron Banner.
- Distribution – Reduces all ability cooldowns when using your class ability near targets.
- Anti-Barrier Scout Rifle / Unstoppable Pulse
This build is focused around a Stasis Warlock, plus Mantle of Battle Harmony. I am going to be combining Stasis, Grenades and increasing damage output to create a beast of a Warlock build that’s going to help you tear through endgame PVE content.
First up we have the increased damage. Mantle of Battle Harmony’s main perk is called Absorption Cells – Takedowns with weapons that have a damage type matching your subclass element grant you Super energy. While your Super energy is full, you instead gain a temporary bonus to weapon damage of the type matching your subclass element. Therefore we want to get our super as fast as possible. Whisper of Bonds, one of our stasis fragments is going to come in useful here, given we get Super energy when we defeat frozen targets. Once you get that super, don’t use it immediately, as we’re going to want that damage increase from holding onto our super and triggering Absorption Cells. By collecting stasis elemental wells we’re also going to be using Font of Might for another 20% damage output increase.
Grenades are also key to the build. We want to freeze enemies, shatter them and get more super energy, and the bleak watcher is going to help us do this. Press and hold the grenade button to convert your grenade into a Stasis turret that fires slowing projectiles at nearby targets. We can use a combination of all our stasis abilities, plus headstone perks on weapons if you have them to shatter as many enemies as possible. I’m also using Elemental Ordnance, meaning stasis grenade kills are going to generate elemental wells, plus bountiful wells meaning more wells are created, and that’s going to boost font of might. Whisper of shards is also good because this helps grenade energy recharge faster when shattering a stasis crystal, which we will be doing a lot, meaning getting those grenades back nice and fast.
Regarding weapons, I am using weapons that are suitable for nightfalls and other endgame PVE content. This week in-game it’s anti-barrier and unstoppable, and I am using a scout rifle and pulse rifle. If you were watching this in future weeks, I would use weapons that cater for champions, but also work with the stasis build. For example, Perses-D is a good choice because it’s a scout rifle and stasis damage, plus a chain of command also helps with stasis kills. You can use anything in the energy slot, I chose Graviton Lance here, but it could be something else. I needed something for unstoppable champions, and graviton worked for me. Vex Mythoclast will also be a good choice if you have it.
Finally, I am using the benefits of stasis to take out enemies. Glacial Harvest creates stasis shards, and then whisper of conduction helps bring them to me, rather than me seeking them out, which is going to be helpful in nightfall content, especially on harder difficulties. Whisper of Chains is good because while you are near frozen targets you take reduced damage.
Let me know in the comments what you think of the build, and let me know if you have any improvements.
