Titan Stasis PVE build with Stronghold and Lament in Destiny 2

Titan’s have a deadly sword combination with Lament and Stronghold, and when you add stasis into the mix this becomes a very effective endgame stasis PVE build for titans. Today I am going to walk through the weapons, armour and mods, and show you how you can slice and dice enemies from all parts of the solar system in Destiny 2.

Without further deley, let’s dive into the build.

Stasis Setup

Super: Glacial Quake
Class Ability: Towering Barricade
Melee: Shiver Strike
Grenade: Glacier Grenade

Aspects

Tectonic Harvest – Shattering a Stasis crystal creates a Stasis shard. This shard grants melee energy when picked up by you or your allies.

Howl of the Storm – While sliding, activate your charged melee ability to launch a wave of Stasis energy forward that freezes targets and creates Stasis crystals.

Fragments

  • Whisper of Rime – Collecting a Stasis shard grants a small amount of overshield, which falls off after 10 seconds. Collecting additional shards adds to the overshield and refreshes the timer.
  • Whisper of Shards – Shattering a Stasis crystal temporarily boosts your grenade recharge rate. Shattering additional Stasis crystals increases the duration of this benefit.
  • Whisper of Chains – While you are near frozen targets or a friendly [Stasis] Stasis crystal, you take reduced damage from targets.
  • Whisper of Fissures – Increases the damage and size of the burst of [Stasis] Stasis when you destroy a [Stasis] Stasis crystal or defeat a frozen target.

Exotic Armor – Stronghold

Stronghold are exotic power gloves for the titan, and they come with the perk Clenched Fist.

  • Clenched Fist – Maximizes Guard stats on equipped Swords. Shots blocked immediately after guarding will heal you.
  • Plasteel Reinforcement Mod – Increased Resilience.

You can get this from random exotic engrams and xur when he’s selling it, or his exotic engram.

Weapons

Kinetic – Perses-D

Perses-D is a Legendary Kinetic Scout Rifle is a High-Impact Frame meaning it’s slow-firing and high-damage. This weapon is more accurate when stationary and aiming down sights. Rapit hit and Headstone would be a decent roll for PVE content.

Energy – Strident Whistle

Strident Whistle is a Legendary Energy Combat Bow with a Precision Frame Compound Bow. Longer draw time optimized for damage.

For PVE Well-rounded and Incandescent would be good.

Well-rounded – Throwing a grenade or hitting a target with a charged melee grants a stacking bonus to weapon stability, handling, and range. Using a Super grants maximum stacks.

Incandescent – Defeating a target spreads scorch to those nearby. More powerful combatants and opposing Guardians cause scorch in a larger radius.

Power – Lament

The Lament is an Exotic Power Sword.

  • Banshee’s Wail – Increases damage, shield bypass, and adds shield piercing to all attacks. Gain stacks when dealing with damage to revved attacks. Additional stacks increase the damage and damage resistance of heavy attacks.
  • Revved Consumption – Damaging a combatant heals the wielder.

You can get this one after completing the Beyond Light Campaign from the Lost Lament quest.

Mods

  • Elemental Charge – Become Charged with Light by picking up an elemental well. If the elemental well’s element type matches your subclass element, you gain 2 stacks of Charged with Light.
  • Elemental Shards – Stasis shards count as Stasis elemental wells for you.
  • Lucent Blade – Increased sword damage when Charged with Light, 35% increase for 6s.
  • Antibarrier Scout – Strong against Barrier Champions
  • Overload Bow – Strong against Overload Champions
  • Resilience mods (100) – 40% damage reduction

Gameplay

This is a fun stasis build for Titan, which is also pretty effective in endgame content. This is all down to the combination of stasis, stronghold and lament. Lament has a huge amount of damage output anyway, but we’re going to boost that up, plus you have the protection from Stronghold making it easier to guard and run from and to cover, allow you to get up close and personal with enemies to take them out.

First of all let’s have a look at the combination of Lament and Stronghold. Lament has the perk Banshee’s Wail, where you get increased damage, bypass sheilds and adds shield piercing to all attacks. This is going to make it very useful and effective in endgame PVE content. Plus defeating a combatant heals you, meaning you can get in there, and if you take a few hits on the way to killing your enemy, not to worry because you’ll get healed.

Stronghold is the perfect pairing with Lament given you can maximise the guard stats. Blocking shots heal you plus you get increased resilience, so this is going to help you get to 100, with that 40% damage reduction.

To further increase the damage output of Lament, I’m using a combination of elemental wells and charged with light mods. I’m using elemental charge to get charged with light, and elemental shards to generate elemental wells with stasis. Once I am charged with light, then I can activate Lucent Blade which is going to give me a 35% increase to sword damage output for 6 seconds, which makes this combination very dangerous.

Next, I am taking advantage of the stasis benefits here. I’m using Glacier Grenades to provide cover, plus Glacial Quake for my super to go on the offensive. Through Tectonic Harvest I’m creates stasis shards, which is going to help boost up my damage output, plus it’s going to grant melee energy. Whisper of Rime is going to give me that overshield when collecting a shard, plus boost my recharge rate through whisper of shards. Alternatively I can destroy the shards and make them explode, and whisper of fissures is going to make that explosion even bigger.

For my weapons I am using a Scout and Bow combination in my kinetic and energy slot, supporting Lament in the power slot. This is all to do with the champion mods this season. At the time of making this, Anti Barrier Scout and Overload Bow mods were a decent choice. In the future you could use something different, but if you want to take on champions, then mix and match your weapons and mods. The crucial parts of the build are stronghold, lament and stasis.

Let me know in the comments what you think of the build, and let me know if you have any improvement.
