Festival of the Lost God Roll Weapons in Destiny 2
Festival of the Lost has been with us for nearly a week now, and most likely you know what the event is all about. Now it’s time to grind out those god-roll weapons, and we have some good ones! Today I’m going to have a look at all of the Festival of the Lost weapons, check out the stats and perks, plus the god rolls to chase for PVP and PVE, plus have a look at how to get them all nice and quickly.
Before we jump into the weapons today, it’s worth noting they have all been updated with the Origin Trait called Search Party. This is where the weapon is granted faster aim-down sights speed and movement speed while aiming down sights when no allies are near. I do believe there were some bugs with Search Party being applied to weapons, however, Bungie’s team has been on the case with the bugs, so I think that one has been fixed.
Without further delay, let’s look at the weapons.
Horror Story (Auto Rifle)
Horror Story is a Legendary Kinetic Auto Rifle with a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 29, Range 61, Stability 46, Handling 43, Reload Speed 47, Rounds Per Minute 450, and Magazine 32.
For PVE Cleanshot IS, Accurized Rounds, Subsistence and Rampage would be a decent roll. Cleanshot IS gives you a boost to handling and a slight increase to the range, then accurized rounds increase the range again. Subsistence partially reloads the magazine from reserves and rampage increases the damage and that stacks up to three times.
For PVP Rifle Scope ST, Flared Magwell, Killing Wind, and Moving Target would be good. The rifle Scope increases range and decreases handling speed, the Flared Magwell increases stability and greatly increases reload speed. Killing Wind is great for PVP and final blows give you increased mobility, range, and handling for a short duration, then finally, in Moving Target you get increased movement speed and target acquisition when moving while aiming down sights.
Braytech Werewolf (Auto Rifle)
Braytech Werewolf is a Legendary Kinetic Auto Rifle with a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 29, Range 72, Stability 47, Handling 45, Reload Speed 48, Rounds Per Minute 450, and Magazine 34.
For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Appended Mag, Fourth Time’s the Charm and Vorpal Weapon would be a good roll. Arrowhead break greatly controls recoil, and Appended Mag gives you more magazine size. Fourth Times the Charm returns two rounds to the magazine when you rapidly land precision hits and then Vorpal Weapons give you more damage against bosses and Guardians in their super. Fourth Times the Charm and Vorpal weapons work great together, making it a great combo for PVE Guardians.
For PVP Hammer-Forged Rifling, Richochet Rounds, Dynamic Sway Reduction and Tap the Trigger is a great roll. Hammer-Forged Rifling gives you increased range, which always great in PVP for auto rifles, and Richochet Rounds give even more range, with bullets bouncing off hard surfaces too. Dynamic Sway Reduction boosts weapon stability and then Tap the Trigger gives even more stability and accuracy on the initial pull of the trigger.
Jurassic Green (Pulse Rifle)
Jurassic Green is a Legendary Energy Pulse Rifle with a Rapid-Fire Frame meaning deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reload when the magazine is empty. Looking at the stats we have Impact 23, Range 34, Stability 47, Handling 27, Reload Speed 34, Rounds Per Minute 540, and Magazine 35.
For PVE Corkscrew Rifling, Appended Mag, Subsistence, and Frenzy would be a decent roll. Corkscrew gives you an increase in range, stability, and handling speed, and Appended Mag gives you a large magazine capacity boost. Subsistence partially reloads the magazine from reserves when you defeat targets and Frenzy gives you increased damage, handling, and reload when you are in combat.
Another great perk for PVE is Incandescent, given this is a solar weapon. Incandescent is a go-to perk on solar weapons and when defeating a target spreads scorch to those nearby. More powerful combatants and opposing Guardians cause scorch in a larger radius.
For PVP Smallbore, High Calibre Rounds, Killing Wind and Multi kill Clip would be good. Smallbore gives you that increase in range and stability. Killing Wind is where final blows with the weapon increase mobility, range, and handling for a short duration, and then Multi kill Clip gives you increased damage upon reloading.
Mechabre (Sniper Rifle)
Mechabre is a Legendary Energy Sniper Rifle with an Aggressive Frame meaning it delivers high damage and high recoil. Looking at the stats we have Impact 90, Range 74, Stability 28, Handling 26, Reload Speed 30, Rounds Per Minute 72, and Magazine 3.
Mechabre is a good all rounder. It’s got a low zoom when aiming down sights, meaning it’s a great option for PVP. Given it can roll with Snapshot Sights and Opening Shot, I think we’re going to be seeing a lot of this in PVP from now on. It’s also an Aggressive Frame with Arc damage, meaning its going to fit into those arc builds very nicely this season and beyond.
For PVP Fluted Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Snapshot Sights, and Opening Shot
Fluted Barrel – Greatly increases handling speed, Slightly increases stability
Accurized Rounds – Increases range
Snapshot Sights – Faster time to aim down sights
Opening Shot – Improved accuracy and range on the opening shot of attack.
For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Tactical Mag, Triple Tap, and Vorpal Weapon
Arrowhead Brake – Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
Tactical Mag – Slightly increases stability, Increases reload speed, Slightly increases magazine size
Triple Tap – Rapidly landing precision hits will return one round to the magazine.
Vorpal Weapon – Increased damage against bosses, vehicles, and Guardians with their Super active.
How to get Festival of the Lost Weapons
To get these weapons you have to take part in Festival of the Lost activities. They can drop as part of the rewards package from Haunted Sectors, or from packages from Eva Levante. Complete the introduction quest from Eva in the Tower to get going with Festival of the Lost. Completing Haunted Sectors is a great way to get all weapons to drop, Bungie is being very generous with the final chest in this activity.
