Season of the Plunder

How to get Whistler’s Whim (Trials Bow) Plus God Roll Guide in Destiny 2

Whistler’s Whim is a Lightweight Bow added to Destiny 2 in Season of Plunder. This bow has the chance to get Kill Clip, which makes it a very effective weapon to have in the kinetic slot. Today I’m going to take a closer look at the weapon, the stats, the perks, and the god rolls to chase for PVE and PVP, plus look at how to get Whistler’s Whim in Destiny 2.

How to get Whistler’s Whim

To get this bow you are going to need to jump into Trials of Osiris. This is available from Friday at reset until reset on Tuesday. Speak to Saint-14 in the Tower Hangar, pick up a Passage (which is your ticket into Trials), and then select Trials of Osiris from the Crucible menu. You’ll need to get to Rank 16 in Season of Plunder to get your first Whistler’s Whim. To rank up play Trials of Osiris and you’ll earn rank-up points by playing trials. The more rounds you win, the faster you’ll rank up. You’ll get rank-up points or XP even if you lose, so if you don’t like trials or PVP then you’ll still be able to get the weapon, it’ll just take a little longer.

Once you have reached rank 16 and have your first roll as a rank-up reward, the weapon will then go into your trials loot pool, meaning you can get different versions with potentially better perk combinations. You can earn Trials engrams from ranking up with Saint-14, every time you rank up you’ll get a trials engram. These can be turned into the Cryptarch in the Tower for random loot, or you can focus them with Saint-14 to get what you want. Word of warning, focusing is expensive with regard to materials, so bear that in mind before you spend everything.

You can also get an Adept version of the weapon when it’s the featured weapon in Trials of Osiris for any given weekend. At the time of making the guide the Apdet Whistler’s Whim is available, so if you happen to be watching when this releases, go and get the Adept version by completing a Flawless Card and getting to the Lighthouse in Trials.
