Lightning Ninja Hunter Arc 3.0 Build with Lucky Raspberry in Destiny 2

Lucky Raspberry is a classic Destiny 2 Exotic armour chest piece for Hunters, that’s most likely been gathering dust in your vault and mine. That is no longer the case because this Hunter Arc 3.0 Build is about to breathe a new lease of life into this exotic by chaining lightning attacks with ease, plus when combined with other Arc 3.0 benefits, demolitionist weapons and mods, we’re going to be able to tear through multiple enemies in seconds. Today I am going to run through this Hunter Arc 3.0 build with Lucky Raspberry, check out the Aspects, fragments, weapons and mods, so you can throw endless electric grenades and shock all opponents that get in your way.

Without further delay, let’s dive into the build.

Arc 3.0 Setup

Super: Gathering Storm
Grenade: Arc Bolt
Melee: Combination Blow – A quick strike that temporarily increases your melee damage when defeating a target, stacking three times.
Class Ability: Gambler’s Dodge – Dodge to perform a deft tumble, avoiding enemy attacks. Dodging near enemies fully recharges your Melee Ability.

Aspects

Flow State – Defeating a jolted target makes you amplified. While you are amplified, your dodge recharges more quickly, you are more resilient while dodging, and your reload speed is greatly increased.

Lethal Current – After dodging, your next melee attack has increased lunge range, jolts the target, and creates a damaging aftershock. Damaging any jolted target with melee attacks also blinds them.

Fragments

Spark of Shock – Your arc grenade jolts targets.
Spark of Ions – Defeating a jolted target creates an Ionic Trace.
Spark of Recharge – While critically wounded, your melee and grenade energy regenerate more quickly.
Spark of Resistance – When surrounded by enemies, the player has increased damage resistance.

Exotic Armor – Lucky Raspberry

Lucky Raspberry is Exotic Hunter Chest Armor

Probability Matrix – Increases the chaining capabilities of Arc Bolt Grenade and has a chance to recharge it each time it deals damage. A full chain always recharges.

You can get this from Xur from his exotic engram, or by farming nightfalls on legend, master or grandmaster difficulty.

Weapons

The key thing with the weapons is to have the perk Demolitionist, and if you have one with Adrenaline Junkie too, then even better. Demolitionist is where kills with this weapon generate grenade energy. Activating your grenade ability reloads this weapon from reserves. Using weapons with demolitionist is going to help us keep up our grenades pretty much all the time and take advantage of Probability Matrix on our exotic armour.

Kinetic – Submission

Submission is a Legendary Kinetic Submachine Gun with a Lightweight Frame meaning the weapon has Superb handling. Move faster with this weapon equipped. Ideally, you want one with Demolitionist to help top up grenade energy, although Subsistence and Swashbuckler is also good. You can get this one from the Vow of the Disciple Raid on Savathun’s Throne World. If you don’t have this one, then any kinetic weapon with demolitionist is just fine.

Energy – Insidious

Insidious is a Legendary Energy Pulse Rifle that is Aggressive Burst, meaning it’s a hard-hitting four-burst fire. Insidious is fairly unique among Pulse Rifles given it’s aggressive frame with a four-round burst rather than three. This one is an arc weapon, therefore very good for Arc builds. I have one with demolitionist and adrenaline junkie, which is perfect for the build. Also, good for unstoppable champions this season. You can get this one from the Vow of the Disciple Raid on Savathun’s Throne World. If you don’t have this one, then any arc energy weapon with demolitionist is just fine. If you want to use another weapon for champions, like a Scout Rifle then I recommend Tarnished Mettle.

Power – Thunderlord

This is an exotic heavy machine gun, which delivers arc damage, and has the perks:

Reign Havoc – Kills with this weapon generate lightning strikes from above.
Feeding Frenzy – Each rapid kill with this weapon progressively increases reload speed for a short time.

Thunderlord is great for Arc builds, plus you have that intrinsic Overload.

Mods

Elemental Ordnance – Defeating a combatant with a grenade spawns an elemental well that matches your subclass energy type.
Bountiful Wells – Elemental well mods that cause you to spawn elemental wells can now stack, spawning additional wells for each additional copy of the mod you have equipped.
Font of Might – Picking up an elemental well that matches your subclass energy type grants a temporary bonus to weapon damage
Unstoppable Pulse / Anti-Barrier Scout Rifle

Gameplay loop

  1. Throw grenades
  2. Kill targets with demolitionist weapons
  3. Jolt enemies
  4. Get amplified
  5. Throw more grenades and repeat

This build is all about Lucky Raspberry and Arc Bolt grenades found in our Arc 3.0 kit. The objective of this build is to have grenades up as much as possible, so we can be throwing grenades, jolting targets, chaining lightning attacks together on our enemies, getting amplified and then repeating all over again.

Lucky Raspberry is the key to the build, as this gives us the perk Probability Matrix. Increases the chaining capabilities of Arc Bolt Grenade and has a chance to recharge it each time it deals damage. A full chain always recharges. We’re getting the benefits of chaining lightning attacks to our targets and also the chance to get our grenade back, meaning we can throw more grenades.

By focusing on demolitionist weapons we’re topping up our grenades even more, plus it’s reloading our weapon from reserves, meaning we’re going to be ready for all enemies that come our way. If you don’t finish them off with a grenade, then you’ll finish them off with your weapons.

With our Arc 3.0 capabilities we’re using a combination of Flow State, Spark of Shock, Ions and Recharge. Spark of Recharge helps us get grenade energy back quickly, then spark of shock jolts enemies. By defeating jolted enemies we’re generating Ionic Traces, meaning more grenade energy back quickly. Finally, with Flow State we’re getting amplified by defeating jolted targets, meaning more resilience and more damage resistance.

Let me know in the comments what you think of the build and let me know if you have any improvements.
