Crown of Tempests and Arc 3.0 Warlocks never have to worry about rooms of Ads ever again thanks to this Ad Clearing Monster build today. We’re going to surge electricity through our fingertips and fry everything that gets in our way. Today I am going to run through the build, check out the Arc 3.0 setup including the aspects and fragments, plus look at the supporting weapons, armour and mods so you can act like Emperor Palpatine and clear rooms of ads in seconds.
Arc 3.0 Setup
- Super: Stormtrance
- Grenade: Arcbolt
- Melee: Chain Lightning
- Class Ability: Healing Rift
Arc Soul – Cast your Rift to create an Arc Soul that fires at targets in front of you. Allies can pass through your Rift to get an Arc Soul. Your Rift charges faster when allies are near. While amplified, your Arc Souls are supercharged and gain an increased fire rate.
Electrostatic Mind – Defeating targets with Arc abilities or defeating jolted or blinded targets creates an Ionic Trace. Collecting an Ionic Trace makes you amplified.
Spark of Shock – Your arc grenade jolts targets
Spark of Ions – Defeating a jolted target creates an Ionic Trace
Spark of Discharge – Arc weapon final blows have a chance to create an Ionic Trace
Spark of Volts – Finishers make you amplified
Exotic Armor – Crown of Tempests
Crown of Tempests is an Exotic Warlock Helmet that comes with the perk
Conduction Tines – Arc ability or Jolt final blows increase the recharge rate of your Arc abilities and extend the duration of Stormtrance.
To get Crown of Tempests you can get this from Exotic engrams as a random drop, or from Xur when he’s around at the weekend.
Kinetic – No Reprieve (Shotgun)
No Reprieve is a Legendary Kinetic Shotgun with a Pinpoint Slug Frame meaning it fires a single-slug round. This weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. For PVE Corkscrew Rifling, Assault Mag, Outlaw and Swashbuckler.
- Outlaw – Precision kills greatly decrease reload time.
- Swashbuckler – This weapon gains increased damage from melee kills and kills with this weapon.
Energy – Riskrunner (Sub Machinegun)
Riskrunner is an Exotic Energy Submachine Gun
Arc Conductor – When taking Arc Damage, this weapon becomes more powerful and resists incoming Arc Damage. Kills extend the time in this overcharged state.
Superconductor – When Arc Conductor is active, shots fired have the chance to become chain lightning and return ammo.

Power – Sailspy Pitchglass (Linear Fusion Rifle)
This is another Arc weapon which is going to go great with the build. It’s another seasonal weapon from Season of the Plunder, but if you have another Arc power weapon you like using, then feel free to do so. The important thing for the build is you use Arc weapons.
- Elemental Ordnance – Defeating a combatant with a grenade spawns an elemental well that matches your subclass energy type.
- Bountiful Wells – Elemental well mods that cause you to spawn elemental wells can now stack, spawning additional wells for each additional copy of the mod you have equipped.
- Font of Might – Picking up an elemental well that matches your subclass energy type grants a temporary bonus to weapon damage
- Get Amplified
- Chain lightning attacks with Risk Runner
- Generate Ionic Traces and use abilities
- Increase damage
- Build super energy
- Unleash Stormtrance
This build is all about ad clear with our super, thanks to our Arc 3.0 set up and Crown of Tempests. The Crown is going to help us extend the duration of our Super called Stormtrance, meaning when we get kills we’re going to extend that super a little bit allowing us to roam rooms and clear out all the smaller enemies, allowing a clear path for our fireteam.
While we don’t have our super up and active, frying enemies all over the place, the build is focused on us electrifying our enemies through chain lighting attacks, grenades and abilities. Our Exotic weapon, Riskrunner, is going to allow us to chain lightning attacks on enemies when we are damaged through Arc weapons, meaning we can chain together attacks with Riskrunner and clear rooms without the need of our Super.
We are going to be recharging our abilities very fast through Conduction Tines via Crown of Tempests, but also through Ionic Traces we’re creating. Spark of Ions helps us create Ionic Traces, plus finishers make us amplified with Spark of Volts, meaning we can move faster and charge up our arc souls. Given we’re generating loads of Ionic Traces, we’re also going to have our abilities up a lot, meaning we can throw more grenades, use our charged melee and lay down healing rifts for our fireteam. At the same time the healing rifts go down, arc souls are released which help us in attack. Given we’re throwing grenades, through our Elemental Well Mods we’ll be creating Arc elemental wells, and powering up our damage output through Font of Might, meaning our overall damage increases.
