Pure Poetry is a 120 rounds per minute hand cannon, and it’s been added as part of Season of Plunder. This is a decent hand cannon and compares well to other 120s. Today I am going to dive into the stats, the perks, plus the god rolls to chase for PVE and PVP plus how to get Pure Poetry in Destiny 2.

How to get Pure Poetry

To get Pure Poetry you’ll need to run Vanguard Ops and it’s a random drop from the end of the activity. You can also collect legendary engrams when you rank up at Zavala for doing repeated Vanguard Ops, and you might get the weapon to drop for you there. Therefore, two places to get the weapon, at the end of Vanguard Ops and ranking up with Zavala.

Pure Poetry

Pure Poetry is a Legendary Kinetic Hand Cannon with an Aggressive Frame meaning high damage, and high recoil. Optimized for long-distance shooting. Looking at the stats we have Impact 92, Range 53, Stability 23, Handling 26, Reload Speed 26, Rounds Per Minute 120, and Magazine 8.

Pure Poetry is a new playlist weapon this season for Vanguard Ops. It’s a decent weapon with comparable stats compared to other weapons in the same class like True Prophecy. Given we have just been through a season where Austringer was handed out like candy on Halloween, it’s going to be tough for Pure Poetry to break into the meta. The 120s had their time a few seasons ago, with the introduction of Igenous Hammer in Trials of Osiris, but the sandbox has moved on and 120s are now not as good as their 140 counterparts. It does have some decent perks like Outlaw, Perpetual Motion, Multikill Clip, Opening Shot and Frenzy, plus it can roll with the new perks Under-Over and Pugilist for melee-focused Guardians.

Pure Poetry God Roll Guide

Pur Poetry has some great perks but do be aware the perk pool is very large, so getting a particular combination is going to be tough. The good thing is over the course of the season you’ll likely do a lot of Vanguard Ops, so there will be plenty of opportunities to get a lot of rolls.

For PvE Smallbore, Ricochet Rounds, Ambitious Assassin and Frenzy would be good.

Smallbore – Increases range and stability
Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability and range
Ambitious Assassin – Overflows the magazine based on the number of rapid kills before reloading.
Frenzy – Being in combat for an extended time increases damage, handling, and reload for this weapon until you are out of combat.

For PvP Smallbore, Ricochet Rounds, Outlaw, Opening Shot

Smallbore – Increases range and stability
Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability and range
Outlaw – Precision kills greatly decrease reload time.
Opening Shot – Improved accuracy and range on the opening shot of the attack
