How to get Taipan-4FR (Legendary Linear Fusion Rifle) Plus God Roll Guide in Destiny 2
Taipan-4FR is a Void Linear Fusion Rifle added to Destiny 2 as part of Season of Plunder. This has some great rolls and looks like it’s going to be able to compete with, and even exceed Reed’s Regret in terms of damage output, given it’s a craftable weapon, that can roll with enhanced perks like Triple Tap and Firing Line. Today I am going to check out the weapon, look at the perks and stats, plus look at how to get the weapon and run you through a guaranteed method of being able to craft this weapon in only a few short minutes.
How to get Taipan-4FR
This is a world drop weapon, so you’ll be able to get this from playlist activities like Vanguard Ops, Crucible and Gambit matches. Plus, Banshee-44 will be selling it sometimes, so it’s worth checking him out in the tower, his inventory refreshes on Tuesdays at reset time.
There is a guaranteed way to get this weapon in the game right now, and for this, you have to head to Mars, specifically the Enclave. This looks like a new tutorial quest added to the game this season. Go to the Enclave, which is accessed via Mars next to Savathun’s Throne World. Once you are there you’ll need to pick up the ‘Ascendant Alloy Requisition’ quest, and you will have to have completed the Enigma Quest to pick up the quest.
You’ll get given a red-bordered version of Ammit AR2, which is a new auto rifle, also in the world loot pool this season. You will be asked to get some Ascendant Alloy by completing a weekly mission on Savathun’s Throne World. Once you have done that you’ll get another red bordered with some more objectives. What you want to do here is then complete the Deepsight Resonance on both of these Ammit AR2 weapons, and then you’ll be directed back to the Enclave to craft a version of Ammit AR2.
When you complete that step, then you’ll be given a red-bordered version of the Taipan-4FR. Then you have to go off and use this Taipan-4FR to power up and extract the deep sight resonance. You can do this in Dares of Eternity, or Wellspring, although Dares of Eternity is better this season given the new origin trait added to the weapons in the loot pool there. On completing this activity you’ll get another red bordered Taipan-4FR. Complete that, and you’ll be able to craft the perfect roll of Taipan-4FR.

Taipan-4FR
Taipan-4FR is a Legendary Power Linear Fusion Rifle with a Precision Frame meaning the weapon fires a long-range precision energy bolt. This weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 41, Range 48, Stability 43, Handling 36, Reload Speed 29, Charge Time 533, and Magazine 5.
This one also comes with the Origin Trait Veist Stinger. Damaging an enemy with this weapon has a small chance to reload the magazine and increase movement speed while aiming down sights.
Taipan-4FR God Roll Guide
For PVE Triple Tap and Firing Line would be a good roll. Triple Tap is where rapidly landing precision hits will return one round to the magazine and Firing Line is where the weapon deals increased precision damage when near two or more allies. Rampage is also good, which is where kills with this weapon temporarily grant increased damage. Stacks 3x.
For PVP Quickdraw and Vorpal Weapon would be good. Quickdraw makes it so the weapon can be drawn very fast, and the vorpal weapon is great for killing guardians in their super.
Previously, Reed’s Regret and Stormchaser have been the stand-out Linear Fusion Rifles. Reed’s Regret is a stasis Linear Fusion, which is great for Stasis builds, and then you have Stormchaser for Arc builds. Reed’s Regret is a Trials reward, and not everyone wants to go into Trials of Osiris, plus you have to own the latest expansion to get access to this one.
Stormchaser is great, but you have to have the Dungeon Pass or access to the Duality Dungeon. Taipan-4FR is great because it’s free for all players in the world loot pool, and no need to jump into trials or a dungeon to get hold of it. Plus there’s a 100% way of getting the weapon, and then you can craft your perfect roll, plus you have the origin trait and the enhanced perks.
