How to get Something New (Legendary Hand Cannon) Plus God Roll Guide in Destiny 2

Something New is a new Legendary Stasis Hand Cannon introduced as part of the Solstice 2022 event. If you’re a fan of Better Devils from the original Destiny 2, then this could be the hand cannon for you. Today I am going to check out the stats, the perks, the new origin trait, the god roll guide for PVE and PVP, plus look at how to get Something New in Destiny 2.

Something New is a Legendary Kinetic Hand Cannon with an Aggressive Frame meaning it has high damage, high recoil. Optimized for long-distance shooting. Looking at the stats we have Impact 92, Range 58, Stability 27, Handling 24, Reload Speed 25, Rounds Per Minute 120 and Magazine 8.

It has a new Origin Trait called Dream Work where once per reload, assists or assisted final blows partially refill the weapon from reserves, potentially overflowing the magazine.

Something New God Roll Guide

For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Ricochet Rounds, Wellspring, Headstone

• Arrowhead Brake – Lightly vented barrel, Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
• Ricochet Rounds – Rounds ricochet off hard surfaces. Increases stability. Slightly increases range
• Wellspring – Kills with this weapon generate ability energy. This energy is divided between your uncharged abilities
• Headstone – Precision final blows spawn a Stasis crystal at the victim’s location.

For PVP Arrowhead Brake, High-Caliber Rounds, Wellspring, Multikill Clip

• Arrowhead Brake – Lightly vented barrel, Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
• High-Caliber Rounds – Shots from this weapon knock the target back farther. Slightly increases range
• Wellspring – Kills with this weapon generate ability energy. This energy is divided between your uncharged abilities
• Multikill Clip – Reloading grants increased damage based on the number of rapid kills made beforehand.

Origin Trait

Dream Work – Once per reload, assists or assisted final blows partially refill the weapon from reserves, potentially overflowing the magazine.

How to get Something New

You can get Something New from Bonfire Bash, the new activity as part of Solstice 2022. This can be accessed via the director Tower screen or you can access the podium in the Tower, until August 9th 2022. This weapon is only going to be available during Solstice, although based on previous experience it will likely come back in next year’s Solstice event. Something New can drop randomly during Bonfire Bash from enemies, or it can drop from the rewards Bonfire at the end of the activity.
