How to get Tears of Contrition (Legendary Scout Rifle) plus God Roll Guide in Destiny 2
Tears of Contrition is a Scout Rifle added to Destiny 2 as part of Season of the Haunted. This is a precision frame scout, which is going to be a good choice for endgame this season given the artefact mods this season. Today I am going to check out the stats, the perks, the god rolls to chase for PVP and PVE plus look at how to get Tears of Contrition in Destiny 2.
Tears of Contrition is a Legendary Kinetic Scout Rifle with a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 62, Range 47, Stability 49, Handling 46, Reload Speed 39, Rounds Per Minute 180, and Magazine 16.
Tears of Contrition God Roll Guide
Barrel and perk options for this scout rifle really help make Tears of Contrition very effective in both PVE and PVP modes. Arrowhead Brake and Fluted Barrel are good all-rounder perks if you don’t want to swap things in and out. However, Chambered Compensator and Extended Barrel are good for experts in PVP. Appended Mag and Extended Mag are most likely the way to go if you want to mainly use this in PVE activities.
For PVE Triple Tap and Vorpal Weapon would be a decent roll.
- Triple Tap – Rapidly landing precision hits will return one round to the magazine.
- Vorpal Weapon – Increased damage against bosses, vehicles, and Guardians with their Super active.
For PVP Perpetual Motion and Explosive Payload would be good.
- Perpetual Motion – This weapon gains bonus stability, handling, and reload speed while the wielder is in motion.
- Explosive Payload – Projectiles create an area-of-effect detonation on impact.
How to get Tears of Contrition
To get Tears of Contrition you have to run Nightmare Containment on the Derelict Leviathan and complete Tier III of the activity. Behind the chest at the end is the Nightmare Harvester, and you interact with that to get the seasonal loot while trading in 500 Vestiges of Dread. You can also focus Umbral Engrams at the Crown of Sorrow in the H.E.L.M. to get Tears of Contrition. Finally, once you have 5 red-bordered versions of the weapon you’ll be able to craft Tears of Contrition at the enclave on Mars.
