Season of the Haunted

How to get Fixed Odds (Legendary Machine Gun) Plus God Roll Guide in Destiny 2

Fixed Odds is a returning heavy machine gun originally from Season of Opulence, but comes back to us in Season of the Haunted. This is a Solar weapon, so keeps with the theme of the season, plus it can roll with Incandescent, making this one an excellent choice for Solar 3.0 builds and add clear. Today I am going to check out the weapon, the perks, the god rolls to chase for PVP and PVE, plus look at how to get Fixed Odds in Destiny 2.

Fixed Odds is a Legendary Power Machine Gun with a High-Impact Frame meaning it’s slow-firing and high-damage. This weapon is more accurate when stationary and aiming down sights. Looking at the stats we have Impact 70, Range 63, Stability 28, Handling 30, Reload Speed 31, Rounds Per Minute 360, and Magazine 44.

Given this one is a high-impact frame, that means it’s going to fire slower, but the weapon is going to deal more damage. Recently we had an upgrade to machine guns in PVE, so it’s going to be even more effective than this was in the past. Plus if you can get this to roll with the right perks, it’s going to be solid for your solar builds.

I think this one is going to see the most use in PVE activities. It can be used in PVP, but given the slow firing rate, and the competition in the heavy slot, then I think it’s less likely we’ll see a lot of this in PVP. Fixed Odds also doesn’t have great stability, so if you can find some perks to counteract this, that’s going to be useful (for example Arrowhead Brake or Ricochet Rounds).

Fixed Odds God Roll Guide

For PVE Field Prep and Incandescent would be a decent roll.

  • Field Prep – Increased ammo reserves. Faster reload, stow, and be ready when you’re crouching.
  • Incandescent – Defeating a target spreads scorch to those nearby. More powerful combatants and opposing Guardians cause scorch in a larger radius.

For PVP Field Prep and Rampage would be a decent roll.

  • Field Prep – Increased ammo reserves. Faster reload, stow, and be ready when you’re crouching.
  • Rampage – Kills with this weapon temporarily grant increased damage. Stacks 3x.

How to get Fixed Odds

To get this one you will have to run the Duality Dungeon, recently added as part of Season of the Haunted. I got this one to drop for me from the final boss encounter. In the previous Dungeon, we had a loot table, where specific loot drops from specific bosses. Let me know where you got the Fixed Odds from, but I think the final encounter is the one to target if you are looking to get this SMG.

After getting the Machine Gun for the first time, the first secret chest inside of the room with four Cabal statues can award the weapon again. The second secret chest is inside Calus’s vault near the tenth Repressed Memory location in Duality and has the same chance as the first chest for rewarding Fixed Odds.

The good news with the Duality Dungeon is you can farm this Dungeon right from day one. This means you can go in time and time again, and you’ll get loot as a reward. Previously in Dungeons loot has been locked per week, but this one is different, meaning you’ll hopefully have all the Duality Dungeon loot you want very soon.
