How to get Beloved (Legendary Sniper Rifle) Plus God Roll Guide in Destiny 2
Beloved has returned, and it’s back bigger and better than ever. This was one of the most dominant PVP snipers in the game since Season of Opulence, up until it was sunset with Beyond Light. Thankfully Bungie has brought this Sniper back, and now it’s got updated rolls and perks, plus the new origin trait, and it’s craftable too. Today I am going to run through the reasons why this is the best Sniper in the game right now, plus check out the perks, the god rolls to chase, and how to get Beloved in Destiny 2.
Beloved is a Legendary Energy Sniper Rifle with an Adaptive Frame meaning it has a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. Looking at the stats we have Impact 70, Range 50, Stability 46, Handling 47, Reload Speed 38, Rounds Per Minute 90, and Magazine 4.
The Opulent weapons are back with us this season, and they have kept a majority of their perks that made them great before in Season of Opulence. The game has changed a lot since then, we have origin traits now, plus a whole load of new perks, and we have the crafting system added in Witch Queen. Now, with the right materials and patterns, we can craft our very own god-roll version of Beloved for the first time. I spent a whole bunch of time in Trials this weekend, and Beloved was a top choice for snipers, and I think it’s going to stay like that for the rest of the season and beyond. People loved this Sniper before, so it makes sense that this one is popular again.
Beloved has gained a few new perks but lost some others in the rework on the weapon. However, don’t worry, the changes are overall positive for Beloved. Beloved was a PVP fan favourite, but it’s now got some good barrel options that make this one workable in PVE too. Plus, it’s still deadly in PVP.
Beloved God Roll Guide
For PVP Fluted Barrel, Richochet Rounds, Snapshot Sights and Quickdraw is a great roll.
- Fluted Barrel – Greatly increases handling speed, Slightly increases stability
- Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability, Slightly increases range
- Snapshot Sights – Faster time to aim down sights.
- Moving Target – Increased movement speed and target acquisition when moving while aiming down sights.
You could also go with Snapshot Sights and Quickdraw.
For PVE Corkscrew Rifling, Extended Mag, Fourth Time’s the Charm and Incandescent is good.
- Corkscrew Rifling – Slightly increases range and stability, Slightly increases handling speed
- Extended Mag – Greatly increases magazine size, Greatly decreases reload speed
- Fourth Time’s the Charm – Rapidly landing precision hits will return two rounds to the magazine.
- Incandescent – Defeating a target spreads scorch to those nearby. More powerful combatants and opposing Guardians cause scorch in a larger radius.
You could also go with Fourth Time’s the Charm and Box Breathing. Or snapshot and box breathing.
How to get Beloved
To get Beloved in Season of the Haunted you’ll want to open up Opulent Chests on the Derelict Leviathan. These Opulent Chests are located around the Leviathan, however, you can’t open them without an Opulent Key. You get Opulent Keys by opening loot chests on the Derelict Leviathan, and also you can get these at the end of the Nightmare Containment activity.
Once you have an Opulent Key, you then have to inspect the key to find the clue for the location of the chest. Your key only opens a specific chest, not all Opulent Chests. For example, I had a key saying “Royal Pool, among stately columns”. As part of the clue, you’ll always get a location which will tell you which region on the Leviathan to explore, then you’ll have a vague line as to the specific location. With the “among stately columns”, we have a chest near some gilded columns in the Royal Pools area.
When you open the Opulent Chests, you’ll have a chance at getting Beloved. The loot pool for the Opulent chests is quite small; there are 4 rewards overall including Austringer Hand Cannon, Beloved Sniper, Calus Mini Tool Submachine Gun and Drang Sidearm.
You can also craft Opulent weapons, but first of all you need the pattern. When you get the weapon from the Opulent chest, there is a chance it’ll have a red border and you’ll get a Deepsight Resonance version. Once you get one of these you’ll need to use it to level it up and then extract the Resonant Element, which gives you progress towards the weapon pattern. You’ll need five Deepsight Resonance weapons and level them up to get the pattern for the weapon.
The Crown of Sorrow found in the H.E.L.M. offers some upgrades that will help players get Deepsight weapons quicker, for example, you get certain guarantees you’ll get Deepsight Resonance weapons from the first time you open an Opulent Chest.
