How to get Tarnation (Legendary Grenade Launcher) Plus God Roll Guide in Destiny 2
Tarnation is a power grenade launcher added to Destiny 2 as part of the Witch Queen Expansion. This is an Arc grenade launcher and could be a great addition to your arsenal to get ready for Arc 3.0. Today I am going to check out Tarnation a little closer, looking at the stats, the perks, the god rolls to chase for PVP and PVE plus look at how to get Tarnation in Destiny 2.
Tarnation is a Legendary Power Grenade Launcher with a rapid-fire frame meaning deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reload when the magazine is empty. Looking at the stats we have Blast Radius 15, Velocity 58, Stability 31, Handling 29, Reload Speed 32, Rounds Per Minute 150 and Magazine 5.
Grenade Launchers aren’t in fashion right now, given the artefact mods don’t really support it. Rockets and swords are the heavy weapons of the season, however, that could change very quickly, and we have a new season coming up very soon. Tarnation is a rapid-fire frame grenade launcher and you want to look for some perks that improve blast radius.
Tarnation God Roll Guide
For PVE Volatile Launch, Spike Grenades, Clown Cartridge and Chain Reaction would be a good roll.
- Volatile Launch – Greatly increases blast radius, slightly decreases handling speed and slightly decreases projectile speed
- Spike Grenades – Increases stability
- Clown Cartridge – Reloading this weapon randomly overfills it from reserves.
- Chain Reaction – Each final blow with this weapon creates an elemental damage explosion.
For PVP Linear Compensator, Proximity Grenades, Quickdraw and Chain Reaction would be a good roll.
- Linear Compensator – Slightly increases projectile speed / blast radius / stability
- Proximity Grenades – Grenades fired from this weapon have increased proximity detection but a decreased blast radius.
- Quickdraw – This weapon can be drawn unbelievably fast.
- Chain Reaction – Each final blow with this weapon creates an elemental damage explosion.
How to get Tarnation
You can get Tarnation from the Wellspring activity, found on the Throne World. This unlocks at the end of the Witch Queen Campaign. There are 4 weapons in rotation in the Wellspring activity, and each day the weapon rotates, meaning you may have to wait to get the weapon you want. You can inspect the activity through the director in-game to see which weapon is on offer that day.
You can also craft Tarnation, but you’ll have to gather a couple of the red-bordered versions first. The Wellspring activity has been updated by Bungie to be more generous regarding the red-bordered weapons, so you shouldn’t have to grind too long to get what you are looking for.
Let me know in the comments what you think of Tarnation.
