How to get Submission (Legendary Submachine Gun) Plus God Roll Guide in Destiny 2

Submission is a new Submachine Gun added to Destiny 2 as part of the Vow of the Disciple Raid in the Witch Queen Expansion. This has to be one of the best Kinetic weapons in the game right now, and it’s well worth running through the raid to get your hands on it. Today I am going to take a closer look at Submission, the perks and stats, and the god rolls to chase for PVE and PVP, plus how to get Submission in Destiny 2.

Submission

Submission is a Legendary Kinetic Submachine Gun with a Lightweight Frame meaning the weapon has Superb handling. Move faster with this weapon equipped. Looking at the stats we have Impact 15, Range 36, Stability 50, Handling 73, Reload Speed 36, Rounds Per Minute 900, Magazine 37.

Given this is a 900 RPM submachine gun this is going to be a very popular SMG in Destiny 2. Submission is comparible to Funnelweb, another great weapon added to the game as part of the Witch Queen expansion. Submission also has the advantage of rolling some of the best perks in the game at the moment, which is going to be another factor adding to it’s popularity.

Submission God Roll Guide

For PVP Corkscrew Rifling, Accurized Rounds, Overflow and Frenzy would be good.

  • Corkscrew Rifling – Slightly increases range, stability and handling speed
  • Accurized Rounds – Increases range
  • Overflow – Picking up special or heavy ammo automatically laods this weapon beyond normal capacity
  • Frenzy – Being in combat for an extended time increases damage, handling and reload for this weapon until you are out of combat

For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Tactical Mag, Subsistence and Swashbuckler would be good.

  • Arrowhead Brake – Greatly controls recoil, increases handling speed
  • Tactical Mag – Increases reload speed, slightly increases stability and magazine size
  • Subsistence – Defeating targets partially reloads the magazine from reserves
  • Swashbuckler – This weapon gains increased damage from melee kills and kills with the weapon.

Subsistence and Overflow are both good with this SMG as it’s going to help you not run out of bullets when you’re in a tight spot. Subsistence reloads the weapon after kills and Overflow puts 74 bullets in the mag when picking up a special or heavy ammo.

The Vow of the Disciple raid weapons also come with the origin trait Souldrinker. This is where you gain health based on the number of hits before reloading.

All in all, there’s loads of rolls for this weapon, and it’s very good, so find the one that works for your playstyle and you can’t really go wrong with this SMG.

How to get Submission in Destiny 2

To get Submission you’ll have to run the Witch Queen Raid called Vow of the Disciple. Submission has the chance to drop from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd encounters, that’s Acquisition, Caretaker and Exhibition. To run the raid you’ll need access to the Witch Queen expansion, and you’ll have to find 5 other Guardians. You can either get some friends together, run with some clanmates, or you can find other Guardians via LFG apps or forums. I recommend using the Bungie app, that’s available for iOS, Android or via bungie.net.

There’s also a chance at the end of the raid to trade in your spoils of conquest for weapons that have already dropped. You’ll collect spoils of conquest throughout the raid as they drop from encounters and secret chests. So if you want another roll of your Submission, then check out the vendor at the end of the raid.

Finally, Submission is craftable at the Relic near the Enclave. You’ll need to collect 5 red bordered versions of the weapon, which means they have Deepsight Resonance. Once you have collected these, you’ll then need to level them all up to unlock the Pattern for Submission. Once you have the Pattern, you’ll be able to craft your very own version of Submission. You can get a red weapon in the raid each week if you successfully complete the raid puzzle.

The Vow of the Discpline raid was released into Destiny 2 Witch Queen shortly after the expansion released, and early reviews of the raid are very positive. It can be a little intimidating to jump into the raid, but I’d say go for it as the raids are some of the best content found inside Destiny 2, and you’ll have a great time. There are great encounters, amazing environments and also excellent lore… all which make the Destiny 2 experience even better.
