Top 10 Weapons To Get Before They Are Gone In The Witch Queen

Bungie recently announced some weapons will be leaving Destiny 2 as part of the Witch Queen update, so now is the time to take notice of these weapons and get them before they go. Today I’m going to run through the top 10 weapons to get in the current sandbox, which rolls to look out for plus why they are worth getting before they go.

Without further delay, let’s dive into the list.

Sola’s Scar (Sword)

Tireless Blade and En Garde is a good roll to look out for, but one of the most interesting features of this sword is that it can roll with Chain Reaction. This is where each final blow with the weapon creates an elemental damage explosion. Popular rolls out there include Tireless Blade and Chain Reaction, Relentless Strikes and Vorpal Weapon.

To get this sword it’s from Trials of Osiris. This is on from Friday to Tuesday, and we’ve got three more weekends until Witch Queen comes out.

THE SWARM (Machine Gun)

THE SWARM is a Legendary Power Machine Gun with a High-Impact Frame meaning it’s Slow-firing and high-damage. This weapon is more accurate when stationary and aiming down sights.

For PVP Dynamic Sway Reduction and Zen Moment would be a decent roll, but I am not sure this would be good in PVP (although let me know in the comments if you think I am wrong here).

This one is available from Nightfalls, and this week until 8th Feb is the final chance to get it.

Shadow Price (Auto Rifle)

Shadow Price is a Legendary Energy Auto Rifle that has a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 29, Range 67, Stability 50, Handling 49, Reload Speed 52, Rounds Per Minute 450, and Magazine 33.

This has a pretty flexible perk pool, meaning you can get a decent roll to match your playstyle. In the 4th slot, we’ve got One for All, Disruption Break, Thresh, Swashbuckler, Unrelenting, and Dragonfly. In the 3rd slot we have Bottomless Grief, Surplus, Killing Wind, Fourth Times the Charm, Feeding Frenzy, and Overflow.

The most popular roll at the moment is Dragonfly and Overflow and next up we have feeding Frenzy and Swashbuckler. Both of these would be great for PVE. The third most popular is Killing Wind and One for All, which could be a PVP roll. Thresh and Surplus is also a popular roll. It seems like the most popular rolls out there at the moment are PVE rolls. I got Feeding Frenzy and Disruption Break, which is neither a decent PVE nor PVP roll, so I’ll have a lookout for another one.

This one is available from Nightfalls, and this is available from 8-15th February.

Igneous Hammer (Hand Cannon)

Igneous Hammer is a Legendary Energy Solar Hand Cannon which is an aggressive frame meaning it has high damage, high recoil. Optimized for long-distance shooting.

For PVE Fluted Barrel, Appended Mag plus Outlaw and Rampage would be a good roll or perhaps Rapid Hit and Rampage too. Fluted Barrel is going to help you out with handling and Appended Mag will give you more shots.

For PVP Hammer Forged Rifling, Richochet Rounds, Killing Wind and Rampage would be good or Killing Wind and Moving Target. Hammer Forged and Richochet are going to help out with range and stability. The first two perks are down to personal preference but these ones are good on hand cannons, especially the aggressive frame type.

To get this one it’s available from Trials of Osiris.

Corsairs Wrath (Linear Fusion Rifle)

Corsair’s Wrath is a Legendary Power Linear Fusion Rifle which is a precision frame meaning it fires a long-range precision energy bolt. This weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical.

For PVP Quickdraw and Moving Target would be a good roll and for PVE Firmly Planted and Demolitionist would be good. The most popular roll out there with the community at the moment is Outlaw and Thresh, with Thresh being a great new perk this season which grants a small amount of super energy on kills. I’m not a huge fan of Linear Fusion Rifles but this one seems quick and pretty deadly, so it’s worth checking out.

This one is acquired through Wrathborn Hunts, which are going away when Witch Queen rolls around.

Guiding Sight (Iron Banner)

The Guiding Sight is a Legendary Kinetic Scout Rifle which is a High-Impact Frame meaning it’s slow-firing and high-damage. This weapon is more accurate when stationary and aiming down sights.

For PVP Zen Moment and Hip Fire Grip would be good and for PVE Rapid Hit and Vorpal weapon would be a decent roll. The most popular roll out there in the community at the moment is Rapid Hit and Vorpal Weapon.

You can get this one from Iron Banner when Lord Saladin is in the Tower.

Chroma Rush (Auto Rifle)

Chroma Rush is a Legendary Kinetic Auto Rifle with a Rapid-Fire Frame meaning deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reload when the magazine is empty.

For PVE Feeding Frenzy and Rampage would be good. Another good one for PVE would be Heating Up and Kill Clip. For PVP Moving Target and Tap The Trigger would be good, or Dynamic Sway Reduction and Kill Clip.

This is a Splicer weapon, so it’s found through the Override activity found in the H.E.L.M. This is a great all-purpose Auto Riflem, and definitely one I go back to all the time.

Multimach CCX (Submachine Gun)

Multimatch CCX is a Legendary Kinetic Submachine Gun with a Lightweight Frame that has Superb handling. Move faster with this weapon equipped.

For PVP Quickdraw and Iron Grip is a good roll to go for. Iron Grip massively improves weapon stability at the cost of reload speed. Quickdraw is always useful in PVP to get that weapon into your hands ASAP. Also, Dynamic Sway Reduction and Iron Grip are useful too. For PVE Subsistence and One for All is a good roll. One for All is a new perk where hitting three separate targets increases the damage for a moderate duration. Killing Wind and Kill Clip would be a decent roll.

You can get this one from Iron Banner, when Lord Saladin is in the Tower. With only a few weeks left of the season, we’ll have to see if Saladin rolls around again.

Wolftone Draw (Bow)

Wolftone Draw is a Legendary Energy Combat Bow with a Precision Frame meaning longer draw time optimized for damage.

For PVE Agile Bowstring, Carbon Arrowshaft, Impulse Amplifier, and Dragonfly would be a decent roll. AGile Bowstring greatly increases handling speed and slightly improves stability, Carbon Arrowshaft increases stability. Impulse Amplifier increases projectile speed and reloads speed and finally, Dragonfly creates elemental damage explosions. This is like a mini Trinity Ghoul with Dragonfly.

For PVP Archers Tempo and Adagio would be good. Archers Temo decreases draw time for every precision hit, and Adagio increases damage after defeating an enemy.

To get this one it’s from Astral Alignment, which is going away from the end of the season. This can be accessed from The Dreaming City. This one is going to be good, given the Bow mods on the Seasonal Artifact next season.

Hung Jury SR4 (Scout Rifle)

Hung Jury SR4 is a Legendary Kinetic Scout Rifle. This one is a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical.

For PVE Rapid Hit and Firefly is a good roll to look out for and also Surplus and Explosive Payload. For PVP Moving Target and Box Breathing would be a good roll. I am mainly going to be using this in PVE content, so I was looking for Firefly. I managed to get hold of Surplus and Firefly, which isn’t too bad, but the combo of Rapid Hit and Firefly does sound very tempting, but the odds of getting that roll are pretty slim.

Let me know in the comments what you think of the list, and which weapons are you still hunting for the Witch Queen.
