How to get Succession (Legendary Sniper Rifle) Plus God Roll Guide in Destiny 2
Succession is one of the best, if not THE stand-out Kinetic Sniper in Destiny 2, plus the design of the weapon itself is great too. Succession benefits from the Deep Stone Crypt perks, so with the right roll and build you can head into PVP and PVE and cause some major damage with this Sniper. Today I am going to look closer at Succession, the stats, the god rolls to chase for PVP and PVE plus how to get Succession in Destiny 2.
Succession is a legendary kinetic Sniper Rifle which is an Aggressive Frame Sniper, meaning high damage, high recoil. Looking at the stats we have Impact 90, Range 78, Stability 31, Handling 37, Reload Speed 42, Rounds Per Minute 72, and Magazine 3.
The Deep Stone Crypt weapons have unique perks on them too. This one can roll with Reconstruction and Recombination. Reconstruction: This weapon slowly reloads itself over time, up to double capacity. Recombination: Elemental final blows increase the damage of the weapon’s next shot.
Succession God Roll Guide
For PVE Fluted Barrel, Tactical Mag, Reconstruction, and Vorpal Weapon would be the best roll. Fluted Barrel greatly increases handling speed and slightly increases stability. Tactical Mag increases reload speed and slightly increases magazine size. Reconstruction is where the weapon slowly reloads itself over time, up to double capacity. Finally, we have Vorpal Weapon where we have increased damage against bosses, vehicles, and Guardians in their super.
For PVP Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Moving Target, and Snapshot Sights. Arrowhead Brake greatly controls recoil and increases handling speed. Accurized Rounds increase range. Moving Target increases movement speed and target acquisition when moving while aiming down sights, finally, Snapshot Sights is all about faster time to aim down sights.
How to get Succession
To get this one you are going to need to run the Deep Stone Crypt raid, found on Europa. At the time of making the guide this means owning the Beyond Light DLC. Succession is a random drop from the second boss encounter.
Once you get Succession to drop for you, then you’ll have a chance for weapons to drop at random from the secret chests in the raid. There are two, one in the first sparrow frost area and the second one can be found in the jumping puzzle just before the third encounter in the raid.
Also, you get Spoils of Conquest throughout the raid, and you can spend these at the vendor at the end of the raid to get random rolled weapons at the end of the raid. You can only purchase weapons you’ve already got, but it’s a good chance to get more random rolls.
Succession PVE build
Succession is one of the best PVE Snipers in the game, making it very good for high-level Nightfalls, Lost Sectors, and Raids. Given that fact, I’m going to create a generic build here that can be used with all Guardians. I’m going to focus on a combination of weapons and mods, given Succession is Kinetic, and can be paired up with your favorite element combination.
Regarding the subclass and exotic armor, it’s all dependent on your Guardian. I’m focusing on a void build here, given we’re going into Witch Queen with a complete Void rework. For Titans you may want to run Doomfang Pauldrons, Hunters the Omnioculus, and Warlocks Nezarecs Sin. It’s up to you, but I would keep it focused on Void to take advantage of the Elemental Well Mods.
Weapons
Kinetic – Succession
The build is focused on this one.
Le Monarque
I’m using Le Monarque because it’s a void weapon to go with my Void subclass and then the perk on my exotic armor is going to kick in and give me either a boost to super or a damage output increase.
Threaded Needle
This is another void weapon, again, boost super or damage. I’m pairing this one up with Particle Deconstruction to make this extra effective against bosses.
Mods
Elemental Charge – Become Charged with Light by picking up an elemental well. If the elemental well’s element type matches your subclass element, you gain 2 stacks of Charged with Light.
Font of Might – Picking up an elemental well that matches your subclass energy type grants a temporary bonus to weapon damage of that same elemental type.
Protective Light – While Charged with Light, you gain significant damage resistance against combatants when your shields are destroyed. This effect consumes all stacks of Charged with Light. The more stacks consumed, the longer the damage resistance lasts.
High Energy Fire – While Charged with Light, gain a bonus to weapon damage. Each defeated combatant consumes one stack of Charged with Light.
Better Already – Your health begins to regenerate immediately after picking up an Orb of Power.
Particle Deconstruction – Dealing damage to a combatant with a Fusion Rifle or Linear Fusion Rifle grants bonus damage with a Fusion Rifle or Linear Fusion Rifle against that combatant for a short duration. This effect stacks up to 5 times.
