Best Legendary Weapons To Get For The Witch Queen

Last week Bungie let us know about some of the champion mods that are going to be available next season, which is good because it gives us some focused information regarding preparation for The Witch Queen. Today I’m going to run through the update from Bungie, then have a look at some of the best Legendary Weapons to get in preparation for The Witch Queen.

First up, let’s have a look at the update from Bungie.

When it comes to the Artifact mods themselves, we are bringing back a few perennial favorite anti-Champion mods, including Anti-Barrier Scout Rifles and Bows, and have done some work to make disrupting an Overload champion (which can be done this Season with Auto-Rifles and SMGs) more reliable than in previous Seasons.

We’ll also be highlighting the new Glaive weapon archetype coming in The Witch Queen through a variety of Artifact mods (including an option to make your Glaive the solution to Unstoppable Champions) and have a few new Artifact mods that will enhance some of the new weapon perks.

There’s some good info in there, such as Scout Rifles getting some much-needed love next season. Bows are going to continue their useful run. Also, it’ worth noting the Seasonal Exotic weapon next season is going to be a Submachine Gun. Therefore I think we’re going to have some artifact mods focused around submachine guns, as the seasonal exotic normally matches up with the artifact.

Without further delay, let’s dive into some of the best legendary weapons to get.

Multimach CCX

Multimatch CCX is a Legendary Kinetic Submachine Gun with a Lightweight Frame that has Superb handling. Move faster with this weapon equipped.

For PVP Quickdraw and Iron Grip is a good roll to go for. Iron Grip massively improves weapon stability at the cost of reload speed. Quickdraw is always useful in PVP to get that weapon into your hands ASAP. Also, Dynamic Sway Reduction and Iron Grip are useful too.

For PVE Subsistence and One for All is good roll. One for All is a new perk where hitting three separate targets increases the damage for a moderate duration. Killing Wind and Kill Clip would be a decent roll.

You can get this one from Iron Banner.

Whispering Slab

This is a lightweight frame bow, meaning you’ll move faster with this equipped which always comes in handy whether you’re in PVP or PVE. It’s a kinetic bow too, taking primary ammo, so you’ll probably never be short of some arrows to fire.

A decent roll is Swashbuckler and Killing Wind. Swashbuckler where the weapon gains increased damage from melee kills and kills with this weapon also Killing Wind where final blows increase mobility, range, and handling for a short time. For PVP you’ll want to look out for Opening Shot and Firmly Planted and PVE Demolitionist and Archer’s Tempo.

This one is a random world drop, plus you can get it from Banshee and Xur when they sell it.

Vision of Confluence

Vision of Confluence is a legendary energy scout rifle that deals solar damage and has a precision frame meaning the weapon’s recoil pattern is much more predictably vertical.

For PVE Rewind Rounds, Firefly, Richochet Rounds, and Arrowhead Brake would be a decent roll. Arrowhead break helps control the recoil and increases handling speed, and Richochet Rounds also increases stability and increase range too, which is handy on a Scout Rifle. Rewind Rounds is the Vault of Glass exclusive perk where when the magazine is empty it’ll refill from reserves based on the number of hits. Finally, we have Firefly, another returning perk from Destiny 1, where precision kills with the weapon increase reload speed, and cause the target to explode, dealing solar damage to nearby enemies.

For PVP Killing Wind and Full Auto would be a decent roll, with Corkscrew Rifling and High Caliber Rounds. Corkscrew Rifling will give you more range, handling, and stability and High-Caliber Rounds will also give you more range, which is exactly what you want in PVP. Killing Wind is great where final blows with the weapon grant increased mobility, range, and handling for a short duration. Full auto is great for the ease of use, just holding down the trigger. Kill Clip is also a decent perk if you don’t like full auto.

To get this one, you can get it from the Vault of Glass Raid.

Extraordinary Rendition

Extraordinary Rendition is a Legendary Kinetic Submachine Gun with an Aggressive Frame meaning it has High damage, high recoil.

This thing has some great perk combinations possible. Popular rolls out there include Overflow where picking up special or Heavy ammo reloads capacity and Frenzy (which is a new perk) where being in combat for an extended period of time increases damage, handling, and reload for the weapon until you are out of combat.

Outlaw and Rampage is another possible combination, which is pretty good for PVE. Surplus increases handling, reload speed, and stability for each fully charged ability and Multikill Clip is another good roll to look out for related to PVP. Finally, Zen Moment and Demolitionist would be good for PVE.

You can get this one from Battlegrounds as a random drop.

Shayura’s Wrath

Shayura’s Wrath is a Legendary Energy Submachine Gun with a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical.

For PVP Killing Wind and Snapshot Sights would be good. Killing Wind and Celerity would also be a decent roll, given Celerity’s rework this season. For PVE Dynamic Sway Reduction and Adrenaline Junkie would be good or Tunnel Vision and Kill Clip.

Hung Jury

Hung Jury SR4 is a Legendary Kinetic Scout Rifle. This one is a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical.

For PVE Rapid Hit and Firefly is a good roll to look out for and also Surplus and Explosive Payload. For PVP Moving Target and Box Breathing would be a good roll. I am mainly going to be using this in PVE content, so I was looking for Firefly. I managed to get hold of Surplus and Firefly, which isn’t too bad, but the combo of Rapid Hit and Firefly does sound very tempting, but the odds of getting that roll are pretty slim.

To get this one you can get it from Nightfall Strikes when it’s available in the rotation.

Servant Leader

Servant Leader is a Legendary Kinetic Scout Rifle with a Rapid-Fire Frame meaning it fires full auto with deeper ammo reserves.

For PVE Corkscrew Rifling, Accurized Rounds, Rapid Hit, and Rampage is a good roll. Corkscrew slightly increases range and stability, and Accurized Rounds increases range. Rapid hit gives you increased stability and reloads speed when you get rapid precision hits and Rampage grants increased damage on kills and this stacks up to 3 times. Another good roll is Outlaw and Kill Clip.

For PVP Chambered Compensator, Appended Mag, Killing Wind, and Frenzy would be a decent roll. Chambered Compensator increases stability, controls recoil, and slightly decreases handling speed. Appended Mag gives you increased magazine size. Killing Wind grants increased mobility, range, and handling for a short duration after final blows with the weapon and finally, Frenzy gives you increased damage, handling, and reload for being in combat – given you’re in combat most of the time in PVP, this works well with Killing Wind. Snapshot Sights is also a good choice for PVP, paired with Killing Wind as that gets you aiming down sights faster than your opponent.

To get this one you can get is as a random drop from Gambit.

Biting Winds

Biting Winds is a Legendary Kinetic Combat Bow. It’s a Precision Frame, Compound Bow where the Longer draw time is optimized for damage.

For PVP Killing Wind and Explosive Head would be good and PVE something like Rapid-Hit and Swashbuckler would be a great roll. The most popular roll out there at the moment is Killing Wind and Explosive Head. Killing Wind is a relatively new perk where final blows with the weapon increase mobility, range, and handling for a short duration.

You can get this one from Variks Bounties on Europa.
