How to get 1000 Yard Stare (Legendary Sniper Rifle) in Destiny 2

1000 Yard Stare is a returning Sniper from Destiny 1, recently put into Destiny 2 as part of the 30th Anniversary pack, as a reward from the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon. This is a fan favorite weapon from Destiny 1 returning and could be one of the best snipers in the game. Today I am going to check out the 1000 Yard Stare and look into the stats, perks and god roll guide for PVE plus PVP too, then check out how to get the 1000 Yard Stare in Destiny 2.

1000 Yard Stare

1000 Yard Stare is a Legendary Energy Sniper Rifle, dealing Void Damage with an Adaptive Frame meaning it has a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. Looking at the stats we have Impact 70, Range 57, Stability 50, Handling 48, Reload Speed 47, Rounds Per Minute 90, and Magazine 4.

1000 Yard Stare God Roll Guide

For PVP Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Quickdraw, and Snapshot Sights. Arrowhead Brake greatly controls recoil and increases handling too. Accurized rounds increase range. Quickdraw gets the gun in your hands fast, and snapshot sights mean less time to aim down sights. Given that combination of quickdraw and snapshot sights, this one is going to be hugely popular in PVP.

For PVE No Chambered Compensator, Tactical Mag, No Distractions, and Golden Tricorn would be good. Chambered Compensator gives you more stability and recoil, but a slight reduction in handling. Tactical Mag gives you a boost to stability, magazine size, and reload speed. No Distractions is where flinch is reduced when aiming for a short time, and the new perk here is Golden Tricorn, where final blows with the weapon grant bonus damage. While the buff is an active grenade, melee kills of the same damage type greatly increase its damage and duration.

How to get 1000 Yard Stare

To get this Sniper it’s a random drop from the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon, part of the 30th Anniversary pack in Destiny 2. I got this to drop for me as a reward from the final boss encounter. It’s still fairly early to see a full loot table for the Dungeon, but it appears as if this only drops from the final boss. However, I could be wrong, so let me know in the comments if you get 1000 Yard Stare from somewhere else in the Dungeon. It’s worth bearing in mind that you do need access to the paid content in the Bungie 30th Anniversary pack and that can be picked up through all the major platform stores.

Let me know in the comments what you think of 1000 Yard Stare, and how it compares to it’s Destiny 1 version.

That’s it for this guide for how to get 1000 Yard Stare. For more Destiny 2 content like this check out This Week In Video Games on YouTube and subscribe today.
