How to get the BXR-55 Battler (Halo Battle Rifle) Plus God Roll Guide in Destiny 2

The BXR-55 Battler has been put into Destiny 2 as part of the Bungie 30th Anniversary pack, and this is Bungie’s nod to Halo’s Battle Rifle. The good news is that it’s available for everyone for free, given it’s a reward from the free-to-play activity, so everyone can get their hands on this custom frame Pulse. Today I’m going to look at the weapon, the stats, the god rolls to chase for PVP and PVE plus how to get the BXR-55 Battler or Halo Battle Rifle in Destiny 2.

BXR-55 Battler

The BXR-55 Battler is a Legendary Energy Pulse Rifle dealing Solar damage and it comes with a custom frame called the Legacy PR-55 Frame. This means it’s a customized frame with dramatically increased accuracy, stability, and targeting while hip firing. Looking at the stats we have Impact 23, Range 55, Stability 63, Handling 74, Reload Speed 67, Rounds Per Minute 450, Magazine 35.

The weapon doesn’t feel exactly like the Battle Rifle, but Bungie has done the best they can to put the weapon in the game as true as they can give the weapon archetypes in Destiny 2. You can add a shader called Wicked Overgrowth to make it look even more like the Battle Rifle.

One interesting thing about the weapon is it has a aim down sights design. A few of the Halo themed weapons have this design, but it’s very different to other pulse rifles and does set it apart.

BXR-55 Battler God Roll Guide

For PVE Corkscrew Rifling, Accuried Rounds, Outlaw, and Kill Clip would be a decent roll. Corkscrew gives you that increase in range, handling and stability and Accurized Rounds gives you even more range. Outlaw is where precision kills decrease reload time, and finally Kill Clip means reloading after a kill increases the damage output.

For PVP Chambered Compensator, Steady Rounds, Snapshot Sights, and Rangefinder would be good. Chambered Compensator gives you more stability, handling and helps with recoil. Steady Rounds then greatly increase stability and slightly decreases range. Snapshot sights gets the weapon in your hands as fast as possible, and Rangefinder gives you a hefty boost to the range.

Let me know in the comments your favourite rolls.

How to get the BXR-55 Battler

To get this one it’s a random drop from the Dares of Eternity activity. This is selectable on the Director, under Eternity and you can find this in the middle mode. You can either get this weapon as a random drop from the activity itself, or you can exchange keys that drop from the activity, and open chests at Xur’s Treasure Hoard. It’s random which weapon will drop for you, but it’s a small loot pool, so keep playing Dares of Eternity and one will drop for you.

Short History of the Battle Rifle

The BR55 Service Rifle, commonly known as the Battle Rifle, is a United Nations Space Command infantry service rifle. It was first seen in Halo 2, although it has been in service since 2525. It is the older of the BR55 series rifles. It is most notable for its powerful three-round burst fire and accurate 2x scope, making it more efficient at farther ranges than the MA5 Assault rifle.

The BXR-55 Battler is one of a few Halo themed weapons that have arrived in Destiny 2 as part of the 30th Anniversary. The others are Retraced Path (Carbine) and the Forerunner (Magnum). The Retraced Path can also be acquired from Dares of Eternity and Forerunner can be obtained from an Exotic Quest.
