How to get Nothing Manacles (Exotic Warlock Gauntlets) Plus Warlock PVE Build in Destiny 2
Nothing Manacles were introduced in Season of the Lost and turn your Voidwalker Warlock into a grenade-throwing MONSTER. Today I’m going to check out Nothing Manacles, look at how to get them then put together a Warlock PVE build, which is going to be great for enemy dense PVE content.
First, let’s have a look at the Nothing Manacles.
Nothing Manacles
Nothing Manacles are Exotic Warlock Gauntlets
Scatter Charge – You gain an additional Scatter Grenade charge. Enables tracking for Scatter Grenade projectiles.
The main benefit here is we’re getting two grenade charges, plus you get the tracking too. The tracking isn’t super impressive, but it’s there and does help a little. The main benefit I’m going to be focusing on is the double grenade charge, and this is going to be great in PVE content if you have to clear a bunch of smaller enemies.
It’s worth noting that we have an Adrenaline Junkie buff coming up too, so any weapons you have with that perk could be a very good addition to this build. We don’t know the details just yet related to the buff, so we’ll have to wait and see.
How to get Nothing Manacles
Nothing Manacles is one of the newer Exotic pieces of armor introduced in the Beyond Light update (specifically Season of the Lost). Previous to Beyond Light and these newer armor pieces being introduced, Exotic armor was acquired at random through Exotic engrams or campaign story content.
Now, there’s a way to target farm Exotic armor pieces through Legend and Master Lost Sectors. If you complete these activities solo, then there’s a chance at the Exotic armor to drop for you. Every day the Legend and Master Lost Sectors rotate, with two available each day across the planets and moons.
As well as the location for Legend and Master Lost Sectors rotating, the rewards rotate too with different armor pieces for the head, arms, chest, and legs. If you want to check the location and the rewards, then you can do so in-game by completing the Lost Sectors on the regular difficulty, and then check on the map. The Legend and Master Lost sectors are indicated as a blue shield icon. Another good way to check is a great tool called todayindestiny.com. This will quickly tell you what the location is, plus what the reward is.
To get Nothing Manacles, you want to look out for the Exotic Arms Reward. Then if you complete the Legend or Master Lost Sector Solo, you’ll have a chance for that reward. If you don’t get it the first time, keep trying and you’ll get it after a few tries.
Nothing Manacles Voidwalker PVE build
This build is going to be focused on our Voidwalker Warlock. This build works great in enemy dense gameplay, for example, Battlegrounds, other Seasonal activities like Astral Alignment, plus it’s good in Strikes and Gambit too.
Subclass
Attunement of Hunger
- Devour – Kills with this melee ability fully regenerate your health. For a short time afterward, kills restore additional health.
- Feed the Void – Consume your grenade energy to regenerate your health. Grants the Devour effect.
- Insatiable – While the Devour effect is active, killing enemies extends its duration and recharges your grenade.
- Vortex – Nova Bomb creates a singularity that continually damages enemies trapped inside. Kills with Nova Bomb grant the Devour effect.
Given we have two grenades then we can take advantage of Devour and Insatiable. Eat our first grenade, or get a melee kill to give us the Devour Effect, then you can throw the second grenade. Insatiable is going to help us recharge that grenade, meaning you can easily throw more grenades.
Weapons
Thorn (Kinetic)
You can mix and match kinetic weapons, but I am using Thorn, which works well for me and has the following perks.
Mark of the Devourer – Rounds pierce targets and deal damage over time. Kills with this weapon leave behind Remnants.
Soul Devourer – Absorbing a Remnant strengthens Mark of the Devourer and partially refills the magazine.
Salvagers Salvo (Energy)
This has demolitionist built in, which is great for recharging grenade energy nice and quickly on kill, and Salvo is going to take out plenty, meaning more grenades faster.
Threaded Needle (Power)
This is a great power weapon this season due to Particle Deconstruction, so once you have taken down all the mobs, then you can take out the boss with this Linear Fusion rifle.
Mods
- Ashes to assets – Gain bonus Super energy on grenade kills.
- Grenade Kickstart – When your grenade energy is fully expended, you gain grenade energy.
- Elemental Ordnance – Defeating a combatant with a grenade spawns an elemental well that matches your subclass energy type.
- Elemental Charge – Become Charged with Light by picking up an elemental well. If the elemental well’s element type matches your subclass element, you gain 2 stacks of Charged with Light.
- Firepower – While Charged with Light, regain a portion of your grenade energy when you use your grenade, consuming one stack of Charged with Light.
- Bomber (Class item) – Reduces grenade cooldown when using your class ability.
- Particle Deconstruction
I’m going to be using the mods to supercharge my grande energy refills. For example, Elemental Ordnance is going to spawn wells when I kill enemies with grenades, which I’ll be doing a lot here, then using Elemental Charge to become charged with light. Firepower then kicks in, as you regain grenade energy, consuming stacks of charged with light. This is a nice loop because you are using grenades to create more grenade energy. I’m using Ashes to Assets to gain super energy too, and if you have Grenade Kickstart then that’s going to help you gain grenade energy also… All of this adds up to pretty much having your grenade ability up all the time, especially when paired with your subclass and weapon perks.
