Let’s have a look at the weapons in more detail.

Shadow Price (Auto Rifle)

shadowprice

Shadow Price is a Legendary Energy Auto Rifle which has a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 29, Range 67, Stability 50, Handling 49, Reload Speed 52, Rounds Per Minute 450 and Magazine 33.

This has a pretty flexible perk pool, meaning you can get a decent roll to match your playstyle. In the 4th slot, we’ve got One for All, Disruption Break, Thresh, Swashbuckler, Unrelenting and Dragonfly. In the 3rd slot we have Bottomless Grief, Surplus, Killing Wind, Fourth Times the Charm, Feeding Frenzy and Overflow.

The most popular roll at the moment is Dragonfly and Overflow and next up we have feeding Frenzy and Swashbuckler. Both of these would be great for PVE. The third most popular is Killing Wind and One for All, which could be a PVP roll. Thresh and Surplus is also a popular roll. It seems like the most popular rolls out there at the moment are PVE rolls. I got Feeding Frenzy and Disruption Break, which is neither a decent PVE or PVP roll, so I’ll have a lookout for another one.

The Comedian (Shotgun)

comedian

The Comedian is a Legendary Energy Shotgun with an Aggressive Frame meaning this one is Hard-hitting, with high recoil. Increases rate of fire after a kill. Looking at the stats we have Weapon Stats Impact 80, Range 35, Stability 31, Handling 37, Reload Speed 42, Rounds Per Minute 55, and Magazine 4.

For PvP Rifled Barrel, Assualt Mag, Subsistence, and Vorpal Weapon would be good. Rifled Barrel gives you that increase in range, Assualt mag gives you more stability and increases the rate of fire. Subsistence reloads from reserves after a kill and Vorpal Weapon is good for killing Guardians in their Super.

For PVE Smoothbore, Accurized Rounds, Hip-fire Grip, and Trench Barrel would be good. Smoothbore gives you increased range, Accurized Rounds again more range. Hip-Fire Grip increases accuracy, stability and precision hit targeting when firing from the hip, and Trench Barrel gives you increased damage after a melee hit.

The Hothead (Rocket Launcher)

the_hothead

The Hothead is a Legendary Power Rocket Launcher with an Adaptive Frame meaning it has a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. Looking at the stats we have Stability 46, Handling 52, Reload Speed 50, Velocity 61, Blast Radius 75, Rounds Per Minute 20, Magazine 1.

For PVE Volatile Launch, Alloy Casing, Tracking Module, and Vorpal Weapon would be a decent roll. Volatile Launch gives you an increased blast radius, but a slight reduction in velocity and handling. Allow Casing greatly increases reload speed at a small cost of stability. The tracking module adds tracking to rockets and Vorpal Weapon does increase damage to bosses.

For PVP Confined Launch, High-velocity Rounds, Quickdraw, and Explosive Light would be a decent roll. Confined Launch gives you more Stability and Blast Radius at the cost of Velocity. High-velocity rounds give you more velocity and reload speed. Quickdraw gets the weapon in your hands nice and fast and finally explosive light increases the blast radius and damage after picking up an orb of power.

Hung Jury SR4 (Scout Rifle)

hung_jury

Hung Jury SR4 is a Legendary Kinetic Scout Rifle. This one is a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 62, Range 54, Stability 60, Handling 55, Reload Speed 51, Rounds Per Minute 180, Magazine 16.

For PVE Rapid Hit and Firefly is a good roll to look out for and also Surplus and Explosive Payload. For PVP Moving Target and Box Breathing would be a good roll. I am mainly going to be using this in PVE content, so I was looking for Firefly. I managed to get hold of Surplus and Firefly, which isn’t too bad, but the combo of Rapid Hit and Firefly does sound very tempting, but the odds of getting that roll are pretty slim.

Plug One.1 (Fusion)

plug_one-1

PLUG ONE.1 is a Legendary Energy Fusion Rifle with a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 80, Range 62, Stability 54, Handling 42, Reload Speed 38, Charge Time 740, and Magazine 6.

For PVE Heating Up and Reservoir Burst would be a decent roll. Heating up has the trait for final blows with the weapon increase accuracy and stability while improving vertical recoil. Reservoir Burst effect is when the battery is full, your next burst deals additional damage, and causes your enemies to explode… which is always entertaining. Liquid Coils are good for the battery, slower building charge for higher damage which increases impact damage but has a slower charge time. Finally, Corkscrew Rifling is good for the increase in range and stability and slightly increased handling speed. Feeding Frenzy and Cornered are also good for PVE, with Cornered giving you faster charge time when surrounded by enemies.

For PVP Corkscrew Rifling, Projection Fuse or Accelerated Coils, Heating Up, Kickstart is a deadly combination. What we want to do is greatly increase the range this one is effect at, and Corkscrew Rifling and Projection Fuse give us a +15 to the range stats, making it very useful across PVP maps. Accelerated Coils is also good for reducing the charge time. Heating up is great, especially in 6v6 as when you get a kill this fusion becomes much more effective and deadly. Kickstart, on the other hand, a new fusion rifle perk, takes this up a notch. After you slide, your charge rate will decrease and damage will increase for a short period of time. If you don’t like sliding around on the ground, then Backup Plan is always a safe bet.

Uzume RR4 (Sniper)

uzume_rr4

Uzume RR4 is a Legendary Energy Sniper Rifle dealing Solar damage, with an Adaptive Frame meaning it has a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. Looking at the stats we have Impact 70, Range 64, Stability 53, Handling 51, Reload Speed 50, Rounds Per Minute 90, and Magazine 4.

For PVP Snapshot Sights and Vorpal Weapon would be good. Accurized rounds are also useful for increasing the range by +10. For the barrel, an Arrowhead brake would be good for better recoil control and an increase in handling speed. Another good PVP role could be Killing Wing and Dragonfly.

For PVE Triple Tap and Explosive Payload would be good. Appended Mag would be good with this for the increase to magazine size and Corkscrew Rifling would be good for the increase to range and stability, as well as increase to handling. Another good PVE roll would be Clown Cartridge, where this trait randomly overfills from reserves. Plus High Impact Reserves for rounds at the end of the magazine doing more damage.

The Palindrome (Hand Cannon)

palindrome

The Palindrome is a Legendary Energy Hand Cannon with an Adaptive Frame meaning it has a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. Looking at the stats we have Impact 84, Range 55, Stability 62, Handling 55, Reload Speed 48, Rounds Per Minute 140 and Magazine 10.

For PVP Quickdraw and Rangefinder would be good, or perhaps Killing Wind and Rangefinder too. Quickdraw and High Impact Reserves would also be good for PVP for that boost in damage when the magazine is lower.

For PVE Outlaw and Rampage is the classic pairing, plus this is the most popular roll out there in the community right now. Overflow and One for all would also be good, as overflow gives you more ammo when you pick up special or heavy ammo, so you could be running around with a magazine higher than 10.

THE SWARM (Machine Gun)

swarm

THE SWARM is a Legendary Power Machine Gun with a High-Impact Frame meaning it’s Slow-firing and high-damage. This weapon is more accurate when stationary and aiming down sights. Looking at the stats we have Impact 70, Range 72, Stability 40, Handling 42, Reload Speed 44, Rounds Per Minute 360 and Magazine 47.

The most popular roll out there in the community at the moment is Killing Wind and Dragonfly, this is probably a good PVE roll. Another decent one for PVE is Outlaw and Vorpal Weapon for that increase in damage against bosses on Vorpal and precision kills decreasing the reload time with Outlaw.

For PVP Dynamic Sway Reduction and Zen Moment would be a decent roll, but I am not sure this would be good in PVP (although let me know in the comments if you think I am wrong here).

Let me know in the comments what you think of the Nightfall weapons this season, and let me know what you want to see either come back or what weapon type would you like in the Nightfall in Witch Queen?
