Season of the Lost

The Best Astral Alignment Weapons in Destiny 2

Astral Alignment is the new activity in Season of the Lost plus it provides some of the great new weapons this season. Today I am going to look at the best weapons from Astral Alignment plus let you know about the god rolls, so you what to chase in Season of the Lost.

Every new season brings a new suite of weapons for the seasonal activity. This season is even better because we have some stasis damage weapons introduced as part of the Astral Alignment weapons. We have the new Fractethyst Shotgun and the Vulpecula Hand Cannon.

To get these new weapons you’ll need to own Season of the Lost and compete in the introduction mission. Once you have run through the Astral Alignment activity once and completed the quest, then it’s time to farm for some god rolls. We’ve got plenty of time this season, so there’s no rush as we build up to Witch Queen. But we do have some great weapons in here. Fusion rifles have been completely reworked and we have the Iota Draconis Fusion Rifle to chase. Plus Bows are making a comeback and the Wolfstone Draw looks like one of the best in the game.

Without further delay, let’s jump into the best Astral Alignment weapons in Destiny 2.

Canis Major (Grenade Launcher)

Canis Major is a Legendary Power Grenade Launcher with a Rapid-Fire Frame meaning Deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reload when the magazine is empty.

For PVE Clown Cartridge and Chain Reaction would be good. Clown Cartridge potentially reloads the magazine beyond normal capacity and Chain Reaction gives you elemental damage explosions on final blows.

For PVP Killing Wind and Rampage would be good. Killing Wind gives you increased mobility, range, and handling for a short duration after final blows and rampage give you increased damage.

Iota Draconis (Fusion Rifle)

Iota Draconis Legendary Energy Fusion Rifle with a High-Impact Frame meaning slow-firing and high damage. This weapon is more accurate when stationary and aiming down sights.

For PVE Feeding Frenzy and Frenzy would be a good combo. Feeding Frenzy enhances reload speed for a short time after rapid kills and Frenzygives you increased damage, handling, and reload speed when you are in combat.

For PVP Heating Up and Cornered would be decent. Heating up grants increased accuracy and stability after final blows and cornered gives you a faster charge time when surrounded by enemies.

Wolfstone Draw (Bow)

Wolfstone Draw is a Legendary Energy Combat Bow that deals Arc Damage with a Precision Frame meaning a longer draw time optimized for damage.

For PVE Agile Bowstring, Carbon Arrowshaft, Impulse Amplifier, and Dragonfly would be a decent roll. AGile Bowstring greatly increases handling speed and slightly improves stability, Carbon Arrowshaft increases stability. Impulse Amplifier increases projectile speed and reloads speed and finally, Dragonfly creates elemental damage explosions. This is like a mini Trinity Ghoul with Dragonfly.

For PVP Archers Tempo and Adagio would be good. Archers Temo decreases draw time for every precision hit, and Adagio increases damage after defeating an enemy.

Fractethyst (Shotgun)

fractethyst

Fractethyst is a Legendary Kinetic Shotgun that deals Stasis damage plus it has a Precision Frame meaning the weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical.

For PVP Rifled Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Quickdraw, and Opening Shot would be good. Rifled Barrel gives you more range at the cost of handling, and accurized rounds also give you more range. Quickdraw gets that shotgun in your hands nice and fast, and Opening Shot gives more accuracy and range on the opening shot of the attack. Quickdraw had been removed from popular shotguns like Felwinter’s and Astral Horizon, so expect to see this one a lot in PVP.

For PVE Smoothbore, Assualt Mag, Ensemble, Trench Barrel would be a decent roll. SMoothbore gives you plenty more range, Assualt Mag more stability, and rounds per min. Ensemble is a new perk, which improves handling and reloads speed when allies are near and finally Trench Barrel you get increased damage, handling, and reload speed for a short duration after a melee hit.

Vulpecula (Hand Cannon)

vulpecula

Vulpecula Legendary Kinetic Hand Cannon that fires stasis damage. This is a Precision Frame hand cannon meaning the recoil pattern on this weapon is more predictably vertical. Fires quickly with high accuracy.

For PVE Full Bore, Flared Magwell, Outlaw, and Explosive Payload would be a decent roll. Full bore gives you more range, but you do give up some stability and handling. Flared Magwell gives you plenty more reload speed and a little more stability. Outlaw gives you decreased reload time in exchange for precision kills and Explosive Payload creates an area of effect on impact.

For PVP Fluted Barrel, Steady Rounds, Killing Wind, and Opening Shot would be a decent combination. Fluted Barrel gives you more stability and greatly increases handling, and Steady Rounds gives you even more stability. Killing Wind is great in PVP for increased mobility, range and handling after final blows and Opening Shot improves accuracy and range on the first shot of the attack.

Crysura Melo (Auto Rifle)

ChrysuraMelo

Chrysura Melo is a Legendary Energy Auto Rifle with a High-Impact Frame meaning it’s slow-firing and high damage. This weapon is more accurate when stationary and aiming down sights.

For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Outlaw, and Dragonfly would be a decent roll. Arrowhead break greatly controls recoil and increases handling speed. Accurized rounds increase range. Outlaw decreased reload time after a precision kill and Dragonfly will create elemental explosions on precision kills too, so it works well with Outlaw.

For PVP Chambered Compensator, Appended Mag, Dynamic Sway Reduction, and Multi kill Clip would be a decent option. Chambered Compensator increases stability, controls recoil, and slightly decreases handling speed. Appended Mag gives you more room in the magazine, Dynamic Sway Reduction improves accuracy and stability when holding down the trigger and Multi kill clip gives you bonus damage after reloading, depending on the number of rapid kills made.
