Season of the Lost

How to get Fractethyst (Legendary Stasis Shotgun) Plus God Roll Guide in Destiny 2

Fractethyst is one of the new legendary stasis weapons added to the game as part of Season of the Lost. This is a great shotgun, plus it can roll with a quickdraw, meaning this is going to be a decent one for PVP, plus there are some good rolls for PVE too. Today I am going to have a look at the weapon, the stats, the rolls to chase for PVP and PVE, plus look at how to get Fractethyst in Destiny 2.

Fractethyst is a Legendary Kinetic Shotgun that deals Stasis damage plus it has a Precision Frame meaning the weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 70, Range 66, Stability 50, Handling 47, Reload Speed 55, Rounds Per Minute 65, Magazine 5.

Fractethyst God Roll Guide

For PVP Rifled Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Quickdraw, and Opening Shot would be good. Rifled Barrel gives you more range at the cost of handling, and accurized rounds also give you more range. Quickdraw gets that shotgun in your hands nice and fast, and Opening Shot gives more accuracy and range on the opening shot of the attack. Quickdraw had been removed from popular shotguns like Felwinter’s and Astral Horizon, so expect to see this one a lot in PVP.

For PVE Smoothbore, Assualt Mag, Ensemble, Trench Barrel would be a decent roll. SMoothbore gives you plenty more range, Assualt Mag more stability, and rounds per min. Ensemble is a new perk, which improves handling and reloads speed when allies are near and finally Trench Barrel you get increased damage, handling, and reload speed for a short duration after a melee hit.

Fractethyst can roll with some of the new perks this season too including:

  • Encore – Precision final blows grant stacking range bonus to the weapon. Non precision final blows remove the stacks but grant bonus accuracy and stability when range stacks have been removed
  • Harmony – Final blows with other weapons improve the damage and performance of this weapon for a short duration
  • Ensemble – Improves handling and reload speed when allies are nearby
  • Adagio – After defeating a target, this weapon fires, charges or draws more slowly and deals increased damage for a short time.

Next, let’s look at how to get it.

How to get Fractethyst

To get this shotgun you’re going to want to run the new seasonal activity called Astral Alignment. This can be found on the Dreaming City next to the Blind Well. It can drop from the end of the chest, although you’re going to need the seasonal currency Parallax Trajectory to open the chest. You can also focus Umbral Engrams in the Prismatic Recaster for new seasonal loot, plus this can drop from secret chests in the Shattered Realm. You will need the season pass to run the new activities and get most of the seasonal weapons.

We’ve had a look at the stats, the god rolls, and how to get it, next let’s check out the lore.

“Imagine that as the last sound you hear.” —Petra Venj

Amanda Holliday finished welding the new fluid catch to the underside of the Ether tanks with a satisfied grunt. She wriggled her way back into the corridor and bumped into the legs of the massive Eliksni who was crouched behind her.

“Mithrax!” she scolded, pulling off her welding helmet.

“Amanda,” Mithrax replied. “You are unexpected, but welcome. You are improving our Ether tanks?”

“I threw a fresh fluid catch on there, yeah,” Amanda shrugged as she repacked her tools. “It’s nothing you couldn’t do yourselves, but I was passing by.”

Mithrax gazed across the Botza District for a moment. “I find that unlikely,” he said wryly.

Amanda laughed. “C’mon now. You know what they say about gift horses.”

Mithrax cocked his head.

“Forget it,” she said. “So, how’ve y’all been doing down here? Since, y’know…” she trailed off.

“Since the Human and Vex attacks have ceased, we have been well,” Mithrax said, standing to his full height as he pulled Amanda to her feet. “With the Endless Night lifted, resources are more plentiful. I see your people and mine moving forward together.”

“Yeah, it’s nice,” Amanda agreed. “Things are happening now I wouldn’t have dreamed of a few months ago. The other day, I saw a group of Eliksni at the Bazaar picking out Ghost shells!”

Mithrax’s laughter was a deep rumble. “Yes, the empty shells are quite beautiful. Would you introduce me to your Ghost, Amanda? I would enjoy meeting them.”

“Ooh, sorry,” Amanda chuckled. She put two fingers to her wrist. “Still got a pulse. No Ghost for me.”

Mithrax balked. “You are not a Lightbearer?”

“Nope,” she said, “just a regular person.”

Mithrax thought for a moment. “To aid as you do without the gift of the Light…” he said, bringing a clawed hand to his chest and bowing. “There is much my people would learn from you.”

Amanda shifted from one foot to the other and scratched at her neck. “Afraid I ain’t much of a teacher,” she said quietly.

Mithrax smiled. “I find that unlikely.”
