How to get Parallax Trajectory Quickly in Destiny 2 (Fast Farms)

Parallax Trajectory is the new currency for Season of the Lost and you’re going to need a bunch to upgrade the Wayfinder’s Compass in the H.E.L.M, open chests at the end of the Astral Alignment activity for seasonal loot and focus Umbral Engrams. Today I am going to look at the methods of getting this new currency fast, so you’ll be able to get those upgrades and loot nice and quickly.

There are lots of ways you can get Parallax Trajectory in Destiny 2. Although do be warned this is currently capped at 1500, so once you reach this level you won’t be able to get anymore than that right now.

Completing Playlist Activities

The first method to check out is completing playlist activities like Strikes, Crucible and Gambit. This is going to give you 100+ per activity. I was running the Strike playlist a lot at the start of the season and this was giving me 150 Parallax Trajectory each time. This means you can play the gamemode you like to play and get plenty of Parallax Trajectory as you play.

Killing Enemies

Each time you kill a random enemy in the game there’s a chance for them to drop Parallax Trajectory, and you’ll get 3 each time. This seems fairly random as to when it’s going to drop, so I don’t think this is a good farming method, but it’s a slow and steady source coming in all the time.

Ascendant Anchors

Ascendant Anchors are in Patrol Zones, and the first week they are on the EDZ. Head down into Trostland and you’ll find a few right there, once when you land and others if you search around a little bit. They are violet/purple glowing droplet-like-things, it’s pretty hard to miss them. There’s plenty of guides out there to find the locations of these things.

There are 22 on the EDZ at the moment and 10 in the Shattered Realm, then in later weeks in the season these are likely to be dotted about other locations too. If you pick all of these up then that’s another 600 or so. There’s a Seasonal Challenge related to finding Ascendant Anchors, so you’ll get a nice chunk of XP for doing this too.

Heroic Public Events

One of the best farms for Parallax Trajectory is Heroic Public Events. You’ll get somewhere between 80-90 per run and they should only take you a few mintues to do, meaning the maximum Parallax Trajectory for your time invested. Playlist activities does give you more on completion, however, if you want the most eficient way of farming Parallax Trajectory then this is your best bet.

General Tips

While you can get Parallax Trajectory from other activities, they are going to take a while and it’ll be a less efficient use of your time. For example, you could do Wrathborn Hunts, Battlegrounds, Nightfalls and Crucible. However, Heroic Public Events give you the most efficient route to getting the most amount of Parallax Trajectory you can in the shortest time possible. If you get bored of Public Events, by all means mix things up a little bit and check out other activities.

Watch out for hitting that 1500 limit on the currency, otherwise you won’t be getting getting the benefit for completing activities. When you hit the cap, invest that back into the Wayfinders Compass or Umbral Engrams. Although it’s best to invest in the Wayfinder’s compass first. We have all season long to get Umbrals, and by the seasons finish I am sure we’re going to have plenty of decent rolls of the new weapons.

Why farm Parallax Trajectory?

As with previous seasons in Beyond Light we need Parallax Trajectory to level up our bonus board for the seasonal activities. In Season of the Lost this is our Wayfinders Compass found in the H.E.L.M. Upgrading this gives us various buffs for Astral Alignment. For example, you can purchase an upgrade called Astral Harvester, and this is going to give you even more Parallax Trajectory. Each upgrade gets progressively more expensive as you buy, so the farming methods above are going to help you out.

We also need Parallax Trajectory to open chests at the end of Astral Alignment. This is the new activity for Season of the Lost and there’s two chests at the end. The one of the left is free, and the one on the right costs currency, but you’ll get some seasonal loot in return.

Finally, you’ll be able to use Parallax Trajectory to focus Umbral Engrams in the H.E.L.M. Taking Umbral Engrams here and using this currnecy will allow you to focus farm seasonal loot, like Season of the Lost weapons and armour.

Let me know what you think of the new seasonal loot and activities, plus share any tips in the comments for farming Parallax Trajectory.
