Destiny 2 – How to Upgrade Solstice of Heroes 2021 Armor Sets (All Classes and Tips)

Solstice of Heroes 2021 is here, and it’s time to celebrate summer vibes, as well as get some great new loot including the Solstice of Heroes armor sets. Today I am going to go over the objectives for the armor sets, so you can quickly level up your solstice gear and really look the part for the celebrations.

Eva Levante is back in the Tower, plus we have the European Aerial Zone activity back, which is a zone just off the European Dead Zone specially designed for this event. Have a chat with Eva Levante in the Tower, pick up the introductory quest and then do a few runs through the EAZ (which can be launched from a node in the Tower). Head back to Eva and she’ll give you your first set of armor.

Throughout Solstice of Heroes 2021, it’s our job to level up our armor through various activities around the Solar System. We have 5 pieces of armor (head, arms, chest, legs, and class item), and each one will have objectives. This ranges from activities on a certain planet (for example complete Lost Sectors on Europa), picking up orbs of a certain element (for example picking up solar orbs), or getting precision kills. Each class has certain objectives and they are different. Today I am going to go through the objectives, so you can use this as a quick reference guide and get those objectives done nice and fast.

Before we get into the armor, there is a mechanic that should be noted for Solstice of Heroes, and that’s elemental orbs. Each day there is a featured element, for example, Void, Solar, Arc, or Stasis. By killing enemies with either the subclass, abilities, or weapons matching the daily element, you will generate elemental orbs. These are going to be required for a few of the steps for the armor objectives, so it’s worth pointing these out. They don’t hang around very long either, so if you see an orb, run and pick it up before it disappears.

Now, I am going to run through each class. The final set of objectives was unavailable at the time of making the guide, but I’ll update the down in the comments section when they become available in-game (after Tuesday 6th July).

Final objectives missing (to be updated)

Once you complete these objectives you’ll have your fancy new Solstice of Heroes armour sets. However, there’s one more step and that is to add glows to the set. This is optional, but they do look very cool. You will need to step into endgame activities like Raids, Master Nightfalls and competitive PVP. The glows are pretty cool, so I reckon it’s worth it.

All Classes (Magnificent)

Previously each armour piece had 3 objectives, this final step only requires one objective per armour piece.

  • Defeat Champions or defeat Guardians in Competitive PVP (Trials or Glory playlists) to enable the armor’s white glow
  • Complete Nightfall on Mater or Grandmaster difficulty to enable the armor’s white glow
  • Complete any raid to enable the armor’s white glow
  • Complete Legendary or Master Lost Sectors to enable the armor’s white glow

That is pretty much it! I’ll update the guide further once we know the final objectives for the majestic armour.

Let me know in the comments what you think of the armor, the event and do you think the armor is worth the grind? Do you think we need to mix up the event, or do you like the EAZ coming back?
