Destiny 2 – How to get Cuirass of the Falling Star (Exotic Titan Chest Armour) Plus Titan PVE Build

Cuirass of the Falling Star is one of the best and most powerful exotic pieces of armor you can currently get in Destiny 2 for Titans. Glorious Charge increases Thundercrash damage for middle-tree Titans, turning you into a deadly missile, ready to take down bosses as quickly as possible in endgame PvE content.

Before we get into how to get it, let’s have a look at the armour first of all and the benefits for wearing this armour.

Cuirass of the Falling Star is an Exotic Titan Chest Armor. This comes with a key perk:

  • Glorious Charge – Greatly increases your Thundercrash impact damage. Gain an overshield that lasts longer the farther you travel before striking a target.

As I understand it the damage increase is roughly x2. At the moment this is very overpowered and is likely to get tuned in for an upcoming release. Therefore I’d try and get hold of the armor ASAP and reap the benefits of this massive damage. This is particularly great against raid bosses, for example, if you have been enjoying the Vault of Glass this season, you will likely have seen at least one raid team member with the Falling Star armor on.

How to get Cuirass of the Falling Star

Cuirass of the Falling Star is one of the newer Exotic pieces of armor introduced in the Beyond Light update (specifically Season 13). Previous to Beyond Light and these newer armor pieces being introduced, Exotic armor was acquired at random through Exotic engrams or campaign story content.

Now, there’s a way to target farm Exotic armor pieces through Legend and Master Lost Sectors. If you complete these activities solo, then there’s a chance at the Exotic armor to drop for you. Every day the Legend (1310) and Master (1340) Lost Sectors rotate, with two available each day across Europa, Cosmodrome, Moon, and Tangled Shore.

As well as the location for Legend and Master Lost Sectors rotating, the rewards rotate too with different armor pieces for the head, arms, chest, and legs. If you want to check the location and the rewards, then you can do so in-game by completing the Lost Sectors on the regular difficulty, and then check on the map. The Legend and Master Lost sectors are indicated as a blue shield icon. Another good way to check is a great tool called todayindestiny.com. This will quickly tell you what the location is, plus what the reward is.

To get Cuirass of the Falling Star, you want to look out for the Exotic Chest Reward. Then if you complete the Legend or Master Lost Sector Solo, you’ll have a chance for that reward. If you don’t get it the first time, keep trying and you’ll get it after a few tries. Personally, I tend to get the exotic armor on my 2nd or 3rd try and have had success with a number of Exotic armor pieces, however, you are at the mercy of Destiny’s RNG.

Cuirass of the Falling Star Titan PVE Build

I’m going to put together an Arc Build for Titans. I use this in raids, plus legend and master lost sectors. This is great for all PVE content, I’d recommend get the armour ASAP if you are a Titan.

Exotic Armour

Cuirass of the Falling Star, as mentioned in this guide.

Subclass

For this build I am using Code of the Missle which is Middle-tree Striker Titan.

  • Ballistic Slam — After sprinting, leap into the air and press the melee button to slam into the ground and damage nearby targets.
  • Impact Conversion — Hitting enemies with Ballistic Slam grants Super energy and activates Inertia Override.
  • Inertia Override — Picking up ammo during a slide reloads your equipped weapon and increases weapon damage for a short time.
  • Thundercrash — Hurl through the air like a missile and crash into enemies to inflict meteoric damage. Replaces Fists of Havoc as subclass Super.

The main benefit we’re using here is Thundercrash and doubling that damage.

Next up lets have a look at the weapons.

Weapons

Kinetic – Fatebringer

Fatebringer is a Legendary Kinetic Hand Cannon with an Adaptive Frame. You can get this one from the Vault of Glass Raid, and if you have one with Firefly, then all the better. This has been my main go-to kinetic weapon since it came out, 10/10 recommended.

Energy – Salvager’s Salvo

Salvager’s Salvo is a Legendary Energy Arc Grenade Launcher that has a Lightweight Frame. This is great for the Arc theme, but also because of the perk combination.

  • Demolitionist – Kill with this weapon give grenade energy
  • Chain Reaction – Each final blow with this weapon creates an elemental damage explosion

Salvager’s Salvo is great, or Adored. A good free-to-play energy weapon could be Found Verdict. As long as it’s an Arc weapon, you’re golden.

Power – Anarchy

Anarchy is an exotic, power grenade launcher that features Arc Traps. These are grenades that stick to surfaces and chain arc bolts to other mines. It’s great for DPS and will help you take down dungeon and raid bosses in no time at all, so its definitely a good one to pick up.

You can get this one from the Exotic Kiosk in the Tower.

Mods

Elemental Charge (2 Energy) – Become Charged with Light by picking up an elemental well. If the elemental well’s element type matches your subclass element, you gain 2 stacks of Charged with Light.

Elemental Ordnance (3 Energy) – Defeating a combatant with a grenade spawns an elemental well that matches your subclass energy type.

Font of Wisdom (4 Energy) – Picking up an elemental well that matches your subclass energy type grants you a temporary significant increase in your Intellect, improving the recharge rate of your Super. This gives you a +50 intellect boost for 30 secs, so this one is going to boost your super regeneration significantly.

Breach and clear – When using a greande launcher, damaging a boss, damaging a champion or breaking a combatants shields reloads your stowed weapons and causes the combatant to take increased damage for a short duration. (Seasonal artifact)

or

Energy Accelerant – Your Dragonfly, Chain Reaction, and Firefly explosions deal more damage.
