Season of the Splicer

Destiny 2 – How to get the Splicer Title (including Secret Triumphs)

Titles are a good way to show off your dedication to Destiny 2, and the good news is that the Splicer Title is one of the easier titles to acquire in the game. Today I’ll go through everything you need to do to get the Splicer Title, so you can show off your Splicer skills to everyone else in the game.

To unlock the Splicer Title, we have to complete the specific Season of the Splicer Triumphs. To have a look at the checklist yourself in-game, open up your character menu and then navigate to Triumphs, and at the bottom, you can select the Splicer Seal. Once you are there, inspect it and you’ll see your checklist. There are a lot of Triumphs to compete in the Season, however, there are only ten you need to focus on for the title.

The good news is that most of the triumphs are relatively straightforward, the main issue for acquiring the Title is time-gated content, having to wait for the upcoming weeks of story content. The main examples here are the Path of the Splicer story quest and unlocking the Splicer Gauntlet upgrades, especially considering the recent additions from Corrupted Expunge missions.

There’s 2 secret entries in the Triumph list and they are Daybreak and Brute Force.

Let’s have a look at the Truimphs one-by-one.

Walk the True Path.

Complete all 8 Path of the Splicer quests. Every week we have a Path of the Splicer Quest. This is started by having a chat with the Splicer Servitor each week, then we head into the Override Missions and Expunge. This has been the main delivery of the story in Season of the Splicer, and it’s nice and easy to complete. If you miss one or all of them, then you can do them back-to-back, so it’s relatively easy to complete.

Power in Your Hands

Unlock all 21 Splicer Gauntlet Upgrades. The item we have been ‘powering up’ this season is the Splicer Gauntlet, and to do this you are doing to need Decrypted Data, which is a reward for the various Seasonal Challenges plus the Override & Expunge Missions. There are 3 rows of 7 upgrades on the Splicer Gauntlet, so farm out the Decrypted Data, purchase the upgrades and you’ll be able to complete this no problem. The bottom row is quite expensive, with each upgrade costing 500 data each, so do bear in mind you are going to need a lot.

Nocturne

Collect all 10 pages of the Beneath an Endless Night lore book. Pages are opened up week by week as you do the story missions. An additional one was given to us for completing the intro quest to the season called ‘Beneath the Great Machine’. Given we have 8 story missions, and one was given to us in the introduction, it’s probably likely that we’ll get one during the Epilogue. I’ll be sure to comment down below once this is revealed, however, I believe if you continue with the story content for the season then these lore pages will be given to you with little trouble.

Modded Out

Collect all 7 Season of the Splicer mods. Check out the Splicer Servitor and you’ll see the Elemental Well mods at the bottom. Each time you rank up at the Splicer Servitor you’ll get a new mod and it costs 300 Decrypted Data for a single rank. You’ll need to collect enough Decrypted Data to level the Splicer Servitor all the way up to Rank 10 in order to unlock all of the available Elemental Well mods.

Splicers’ Armament

Complete the quest “A Sacred Fusion”. This one is all about completing the Seasonal Weapon quest from Banshee-44, for the Null Composure. This quest can be picked up from Banshee-44, and then it’s a matter of completing the objectives there. I do have a specific guide on this one, plus some tips on how to make it go faster.

Daybreak

Defeat the source of the Endless Night. When you first start the season this is one of the secret triumphs, until you complete Week 6’s story and find out that Savathun and Quria are the sources of the Endless Night. We are currently waiting for Week 7, but it’s highly likely we’ll end up in a battle against Quria to finish the endless night, which should complete this triumph.

Short Circuiter

Defeat combatants using Season of the Splicer weapons. This is one of the most grindy aspects of the triumphs. If you are using the Splicer weapons on a regular basis, then you should be able to complete this one with relative ease. I have been switching between Vault of Glass Weapons and Splicer weapons a lot, so I haven’t made as much progress as I would have liked. By Season of the Splicer weapons, I am assuming Gridskipper, Chroma Rush, Ignition Code, Farewell, Sojourner’s Tale, and Shattered Cipher. To give this one a boost I went to the Shuro Chi section of the Last Wish Raid and spent some time farming there for kills, which topped up this triumph for me within minutes.

Wire Cutter

Defeat Vex while wearing Season of the Splicer armor. Earn bonus progress for each armor piece equipped. You can get Splicer armor from the Override Missions as drops, and then it’s simply a matter of putting that on and defeating Vex. Override is a great place to farm this. This is one of the simpler triumphs to complete on this list.

Virtual Fighter

Defeat Champions in Override. While in Override Missions you’ll need to be defeating Champions. Once again, this one is fairly straightforward, so try and kill as many as you can throughout the season to keep on top of this triumph.

Brute Force

Defeat Champions in Expunge. This is another that was secret at the start of the season. In the Expunge, defeat champions and then defeat enough to fill the bar up to 100%. I would check in week by week, just so you don’t have to spend too much time in Expunge at the end of the season, trying to tick off this Triumph.

There you have it, that’s all you need to do to get your hands on the shiny new Splicer Title. Titles aren’t for everyone, and in the past some of the triumphs have been super grindy, however, this season it looks like Bungie are opening up Titles to the masses, which I think can only be a good thing as it allows players to express themselves in the game, and show off their achievements.

There are a few here which can be a little grind, for example defeating enemies with Splicer weapons. I would recommend logging in each week, running through some Override and Expunge Missions, using the Splicer Weapons to get the job done and it should be a fairly simply task to get the title this season. If you get stuck, refer back to this guide, and feel free to ask questions in the comments.

Let me know what you think of the Splicer Title grind in the comments – I’d be interested to know if this is your first title, or if you always go after every title per season.
