Outriders – Golem’s Limb Review (Legendary Shotgun) and Trickster Shotgun Build
Golem’s Limb is a Legendary Shotgun found in Outriders and this one is devastating when you are up close and personal. Today I am going to have a look at the weapon, the stats and the mods as well as put together a Trickster build with this shotgun.
Golem’s Limb Stats and Mods
Golem’s Limb is a legendary pump action shotgun. Looking at the stats it’s clip size 6, 68 rounds per minute, 2.1s reload speed, 125% crit multiplier, 78% accuracy, 21% stability and 15m range.
Spawns with the Golem Rising mod. Killing shots grant you a protective Golem effect for 3 seconds. It also came with the mod Bone Shrapnel, where killing shots detonate the enemy’s bones and turn them into shrapnel that deals X damage and inflicts Bleed on enemies within a 5 meter radius. This mods is absolutely insane and is very useful on a shotgun like this.
How I got Golem’s Limb
I got Golem’s Limb from the Forgotten Chapel quest, and this is a very easy way to get a guaranteed legendary weapon in Outriders. I went over the detailed steps for how to complete that quest in anothr guide, but it’s completely random as to which legendary weapon you’ll get from the chest, so you may not get Golem’s Limb.
Golem’s Limb Build
Skills
Borrowed Time (Movement) – Receive a shield and mark your location for 28 seconds. Triggering the skill again will bend spacetime and teleport you back to the marked spot.
Twisted Rounds (Damage) – Fill your current weapon’s mag with anomaly-infused bullets that increase your Fire Power by 1,213. The skill lasts until you reload or switch weapons
Temporal Blade (Damage, Interrupt) – Paralyze and slice enemies in front of you, dealing damage and inflicting Slow and Interrupt to all targets.
Borrowed Time here is going to give us the shields we need to get in enemies face and really see what this shotgun can do. Temporal Blade is useful for when you get in a tough situation and have to clear out a few enemies in close range, and Twisted round is for that extra DPS.
Next let’s check out the mods.
Mods
Time-space protection: (Borrowed Time) Receive X Armor and 30% Resistance bonus while the skill is active.
Armour of Eons: (Borrowed Time) Activating the skill increases your Armor by 100% for 10 seconds.
Additional Mag: (Twisted Rounds) The skill is effective for two magazines before triggering the cooldown.
Strong Twist: (Twisted Rounds) While the skill is active, this increases your weapon’s firepower by an extra 15 percent.
Amour of Eons and TimeSpace Protection is going to help us with run and gun shotgun style. Armour of Eons especially gives you that extra 100% shield for 10 seconds, which will give you the time to lay the damage into your enemies, which is going to revisitalise your sheilds as a Trickster. Strong Twist is good for that extra damage.
Next let’s look at the class tree.
Class Tree
Start in the Harbinger tree:
Anomaly Persistence: Increase your Health by 10%.
Immunity: Increase your Resistance by 15%.
Anomaly Persistence: Increase your Health by 10%.
Shield’s Timeline: Decrease your Shield degradation rate by 30%.
Outrider Executioner: Activating Movement skills increases your Weapon Damage by 50% for 8 seconds.
Then move up into the Assassin tree:
Shotgun Master: Increase your shotgun weapon damage by 15%. Increase shotgun weapons drop chance by 12%.
Death Probability: Increase your Weapon Damage by 8%.
Arms Trick: Increase Close Range Weapon Damage by 15%.
Equilibrium: Decrease the cooldown of your Movement skills by 15%.
Arms Trick: Increase Close Range Weapon Damage by 15%.
Singularity: Decrease the cooldown of your Deception skills by 15%.
Unforeseen End: When attacking enemies from behind, all your Weapon Damage is increased by 20%.
Scion of the Power: When your Damage skill ends, increase your Weapon Damage by 50% for 8 seconds.
Arms Trick: Increase Close Range Weapon Damage by 15%.
Death Probability: Increase your Weapon Damage by 8%.
Unforeseen End: When attacking enemies from behind, all your Weapon Damage is increased by 20%.
Bounty Hunter: Increase your Weapon Damage against Elites by 15%.
Oddity Summation: Increase your magazine size by 50%.
Shotgun Adept: Increase your shotgun weapon damage by 12%.
Cold Calculation: For each enemy in Close Range, your Weapon Damage is increased by 8%.
The combination of the Harbinger and Assassin tree essentially boost our health and shields, allowing us to get in there up close to use the shotgun at close range. Outrider Executioner is great in conjunction with Borrowed Time as it’s going to give you a 35% increase to damage for 8 seconds.
Shotgun Master increases the damage output by 15% and Scion of Power is good for a damage bonus when Twisted Rounds Ends. Twisted Rounds did receive a nerf in the most recent patch, but it’s still a powerful skill and shouldn’t be discard simply because it’s power was reduce by a few percentage points.
Shotgun Adept in the final set of Assassin nodes boosts the power of Shotguns even more with Bounty Hunter giving you that extra 15% damage against Elites if you need it.
Let me know down in the comments what you think of the build.
That’s it for this Golem’s Limb review and Trickster Shotgun Build.
