Outriders – How to Farm Epic Gear Quickly (Early Game Easy Loot)

There is a quick and easy way to farm Epic gear in Outriders, so you can stock up on a decent range of guns and mods. Today I am going to look at the farming method and run through it step by step, so you can get your hands on a whole bunch of Epic gear in Outriders.

First of all, I want to give a shout out to the Outriders subreddit, which is where I first saw this method for farming Epic gear. Originally posted by Reddit user DontBanFizz. I saw this and just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

In this farming method, you can kill a high-level enemy and it consistently spat out at least 2 epic drops each time I killed him. I don’t know if this is going to get patched in the future, but it seems pretty broken so I would farm this now before it gets fixed.

What you need to do is get past The Stronghold story mission. This is about halfway through the main story campaign, where you have to rescue your scientist who helps you mod gear. Once you have completed this mission and blasted your way out of the Stronghold, speak to the NPC outside of the Stronghold and in front of the waterfall. She’s called Juno Pascal. Pick up the side quest from Juno called ‘The Other Ingredient’.

This will send you deep into the forest looking for Tooka Beasts. Make your way through the jungle for a minute or so and clear out the enemies that get in your way. Once you get through the first zone, then the Tooka Beast will appear. Kill him, pick up the loot and then let the smaller enemies kill you. You’ll respawn at the same area and you should be able to kill the Tooka Beast over and over for this Epic gear farming method.

This is relatively early in the game so it’s a good chance to stock up on gear before you head into the later parts of Outriders. I was consistently getting at least two epic gear pieces on each kill which took around 30-60s each time. That’s not a bad farm considering the loot you are getting.

If you don’t get guns you like then you can always break them down and start collecting mods and use these mods on other weapons and armour pieces. With this farming method, you should get a combination of weapons and armour.

I would keep the world tier as high as possible here, or at least as high to make this loot farm fast and easy.
