Destiny 2 – How to get Extraordinary Rendition (Legendary Submachine Gun)
Extraordinary Rendition is a new Submachine Gun you can get in Season of the Chosen. This is a very useful weapon with a great pool of perks, plus it sounds very cool too. Today I am going to get into the weapon stats, god rolls for PVE and PVP plus the all-important how-to get Extraordinary Rendition.
Extraordinary Rendition Stats
Extraordinary Rendition is a Legendary Kinetic Submachine Gun with an Aggressive Frame meaning it has High damage, high recoil. Looking at the stats we have Impact 22, Range 48, Stability 17, Handling 60, Reload Speed 30, Rounds Per Minute 750 and Magazine 28.
Extraordinary Rendition God Rolls
This thing has some great perk combinations possible. Popular rolls out there include Overflow where picking up special or Heavy ammo reloads capacity and Frenzy (which is a new perk) where being in combat for an extended period of time increases damage, handling and reload for the weapon until you are out of combat.
Outlaw and Rampage is another possible combination, which is pretty good for PVE. Surplus which increases handling, reload speed and stability for each fully charged ability and Multikill Clip is another good roll to look out for related to PVP. Finally, Zen Moment and Demolitionist would be good for PVE.
How to get Extraordinary Rendition
To get this weapon you can get it from Battlegrounds – the new PVE activity found in Season of the Chosen. There’s a loot chest at the end and you can also use the Hammer of Proving to open an extra chest if you add some Cabal Gold to it. Check out my guide for Battlegrounds & The Hammer of Proving here. Battlegrounds are only available to Season Pass holders in Season of the Chosen.
There’s also the Prismatic Recaster and Umbral Decoder in the H.E.L.M and you can focus Umbral Engrams to target farm loot. Get some upgrades through the seasonal challenges and upgrade the War table in H.E.L.M to open up some more options and give you that flexibility to focus farm your weapons this season.
Extraordinary Rendition is a great addition to the loot pool. It’s one of only a few Kinetic weapons we have this season, most are energy or power weapons. There’s something very satisfying about this one. Personally, I think it’s more of a PVE weapon, but that’s not to say you couldn’t find success with it in PVP. It’s versatile enough to be good in most places. The Outlaw and Rampage combo will be super useful in PVE and the new perk Frenzy looks very good.
Comparing this to another recent Kinetic Submachine Gun called Friction Fire, which we got from Season of the Hunt, it compares well. It has much better handling +31, +4 on reload speed and it’s a 750 rounds per minute SMG compares to 600 of Friction Fire although it has slightly lower range and impact, but only partially. If you can go for a range masterwork that should fix things right up, plus there are plenty of damage perks which give this one advantage.
This is another weapon which is a popular choice with players at the moment. In Season of the Chosen Bungie seem to have done a great job adding new and interesting weapons. We have Bottom Dollar, the new 120 hand cannon from Gambit plus we have this very useful Kinetic SMG in Extraordinary Rendition.
This SMG reminds me of Huckleberry. It has similar stats with impact, range and handling. It’s also got 60 for handling and can roll with Rampage like Huckleberry does. If you’re looking for something that could potentially be a legendary replacement for Huckleberry then this could be it an free up your exotic weapon slot to use on the energy or power weapon.
