Destiny 2 – How to get Seventh Seraph CQC (Legendary Shotgun)

Seventh Seraph CQC is a great shotgun, deadly in PVP and useful in PVE with its Warmind Cells and decent roll combinations. Today I am going to have a look at the weapon stats, some of the good rolls to look out for and the all-important how to get the weapon. The following is how to get Seventh Seraph CQC in Destiny 2.

Seventh Seraph CQC is a Legendary Energy Shotgun which is a Lightweight Frame meaning it has Superb handling. Move faster with this weapon equipped. Looking at the stats we have Impact 65, Range 49, Stability 41, Handling 72, Reload Speed 64, Rounds Per Minute 80 and Magazine 6.

The curated roll comes with Shield Disorient where energy matched shield explosion disorients nearby combatants. Lead from Gold were picking up Heavy ammo also gives ammo to this weapon, Steady Rounds where the weapon is optimised for recoil control (increases stability and decreases range) and finally, Rifled Barrel for a ranged shotgun barrel which increases range.

For PVP Quickdraw and Snapshot Sights is a good roll, and PVE Slideshot and Vorpal Weapon would be one to look out for. The most popular roll out there with the community right now is Quickdraw and Snapshot Sights. Seventh Seraph CQC is also up there amongst the most popular weapons for competitive PVP right now sitting at number 4 only below Felwinter’s Lie, The Steady Hand and Adored.

To get this weapon you simply have to run activities like PVP, Strikes, Gambit and Public Events. This is part of the Season 12 loot pool, so it’s a random drop from activities. Unfortunately, this does mean there’s no sure way to get this weapon, you have to pray to the RNG gods and keep your fingers crossed. I’ve seen a somewhere between 3-5 drops in the past few weeks, so it does seem pretty available.

The Seventh Seraph CQC Shotgun is a popular one for PVP given the Quickdraw and Snapshot Sights possible roll. However, this is also great for PVE given it can drop Warmind Cells. As it’s a Seraph weapon this works with the Warmind Cell mods. The shotgun will drop Warmind Cells on its own, but there are some great mods that work with this shotgun including

  • Global Reach – Neutral, 1 Warmind cells you make have a larger explosion and effect enemies from farther away.
  • Rage of the Warmind – Solar, 5 Additional solar damage from cells you destroy.
  • Wrath of Rasputin – Solar, 1 Solar splash damage kills have a chance to create a warmind cell.
  • Burning Cells – Solar, 3 Destroying a cell causes a burst of solar energy that makes enemies burn.

This is a massively versatile weapon. Great in PVP and PVE, so if you haven’t got your hands on it yet then get out there and give it a shot.
