Destiny 2 – How to get Spoils of Conquest

Spoils of Conquest are a new currency introduced in Beyond Light which is used for buying Exotic Weapons from the Kiosk in the Tower. Today I’m going to have a look at the best way to get Spoils of Conquest, where to get the currency and what you would use it for. The following is a guide for how to get Spoils of Conquest in Destiny 2 Beyond Light.

We recently went through a sunsetting process where multiple locations including Io, Titan, Mercury, The Leviathan and Mars went into the Destiny Content Vault. With these locations, unfortunately, we lost multiple raids including Crown of Sorrows, Scourge of the Past and Leviathan Raids and raid lairs. This means some of the best weapons from the past are no longer available to acquire in-game.

What are Spoils of Conquest?

With the bad news out the way, there is some good news! That’s the fact that you can now purchase these items in the game in a trade for a pick n mix of materials plus something called Spoils of Conquest. Spoils of Conquest are a new, and rare, currency in the game which you are going to want to collect, especially if you want to get your hands on one of these legacy exotic weapons.

Why do you need Spoils of Conquest?

The reason to be chasing Spoils of Conquest in Beyond Light is that you might want to purchase an Exotic weapon from the Kiosk in the Tower. This is a new addition to the Tower and provides an opportunity to buy some of the best Exotic weapons in the game that was previously available via raids.

Some examples of great weapons include Legend of Acrius (Leviathan), Anarchy (Scourge of the Past) & Tarrabah (Crown of Sorrows). Out of all of these weapons, Anarchy is going to be the one you should invest in a buy first purely for it’s DPS and damage over time. It’s simply one of the best, if not THE best weapons in the game for boss damage.

How to get Spoils of Conquest?

At the moment there are only 3 locations you can get Spoils of Conquest, and that is from the raid locations in the game. We have The Last Wish in the Dreaming City, The Garden of Salvation on the Moon and The Deep Stone Crypt on Europa.

The key to getting Spoils of Conquest are the bosses from the raids. You’ll need to beat the bosses and currently, 3 Spoils of Conquest drops from each boss. It will therefore take a number of raids to save up and get one of the weapons from the Exotic Kiosk.

Exotic Ciphers

Another relatively new resource is Exotic Ciphers. These were introduced in Season of Arrivals with one being available on the Season pass and also for the Helsom quest. We have another available on the season pass at rank 50, but you can also get one per week by speaking to Xur and doing his quest. If you want one, then pick up this quest from our worm faced friend from Friday until Tuesday and complete the quest. However, be warned as you can only hold one of these at a time, so if you have one already then doing the quest will be a waste of time.

Let me know what you think down there in the comments.
