Destiny 2 – How to get Xenoclast IV (Legendary Shotgun)

Xenoclast VI was put into the game with Beyond Light and it’s quickly rising to the top of the most wanted list for Legendary Weapons in both PVE and PVP. This is an arc shotgun that comes with some awesome rolls, including the improved Trench Barrel, meaning this one is going to pack a serious punch. The following is a guide for how to get Xenoclast VI in Destiny 2 Beyond Light.

Xenoclast VI is a Legendary Energy Shotgun which deals arc damage and takes special ammo. Lightweight Frame – Superb handling. Move faster with this weapon equipped. Looking at the stats it’s got 65 for impact, 50 for range, 40 for stability, 69 for handling, and 59 for reload speed. It’s an 80 rounds per minute shotty with 6 in the magazine at the base level. For the hidden stats it’s got 44 for aim assist, 23 for inventory size, 12 for zoom, 57 for recoil and 43 for bounce intensity.

The curated roll comes with Smallbore for increased range and stability, steady rounds for increased range and stability again, clown cartridge for random overflowing reloads and unrelenting where rapid kills trigger health regeneration.

A good PVE roll for this would be Dual loader, which reloads two shells at a time instead of one and Trench Barrel where after a successful melee hit the weapon gains increased damage. It also rolls with One-Two Punch which is always good for builds in PVE and the new perk Thresh too, where you can gain super energy on kills.

For PVP Slideshot and Killing Wind would be a good roll. Slideshot and Thresh is a very popular roll of this weapon out there with the community right now. Disruption Break could also be a good choice for PVP… this gun has so many options, test out a few rolls for yourself and see what works for you.

To get this weapon you want to complete strikes and it’s a random drop at the end of the mission. This is pretty much rng based. You can also rank up at Zavala in the Tower to get a chance at getting this weapon.

One of our previous favourite shotguns, the Ikelos model, isn’t available in the game right now due to the Prophecy Dungeon going away temporarily and Mars being sunset. This could be one of the best shotguns available in the game right now, other than Astral Horizon, which you’ll be able to get from Trials of Osiris when that comes back.

One of the main benefits of this shotgun is that it deals Arc damage. The community has been calling for a decent arc shotgun for some time and now their calls have been answered. One of the reasons for this is because the new hunter exotic helm Mask of Bakris gives you increased arc damage after dodging, so that combined with this shotgun could make for a pretty sweet pair in PVP.
