Destiny 2 – How to get Berenger’s Memory (Legendary Grenade Launcher)

Berenger’s Memory is a great grenade launcher from Season of Arrivals. There’s a good variety of rolls on this one too, making it a good addition to your arsenal. The following is a guide for how to get the Berenger’s Memory Grenade Launcher in Destiny 2.

Berenger’s Memory Grenade Launcher is available through the Exodus Engrams in Season 11. This is a legendary, power grenade launcher that deals void damage. It’s also a rapid-fire frame grenade launcher meaning you can dish out meaningful damage is a very short time, making this very effective in both PVE and PVP.

This has 32 for stability, 24 for handling, 29 for reload speed, 53 for velocity and 15 for blast radius. It’s a 150 RPM grenade launcher with 5 in the mag.

The curated roll comes with Threat Detector for that increase in reload, stability and handling when enemies are close and sticky grenades that attach to targets when fired and detonate when they are in proximity. It also comes with volatile launch and rampage for that boost in damage.

For PVE you want something like Demolitionist, which works great with builds or Autoloading Holster. In the 3rd slot Clown Cartridge is great for the potential boost to the magazine, although you are relying on RNG. Quickdraw is also good in the 3rd slot. For PVP Elemental Capacitor and Threat Detector is a great roll. Personally I use this much more in PVE, and its great for those builds when you need grenade energy and getting in that boss damage. Disruption Break can be good in PVP, but it can take some skill to pull that off.

To get this weapon you’ll want to get your hands on an Exodus Engram for a chance at a drop. There are 4 weapons in the Exodus Engrams – the Ikelos SMG, Ikelos Sniper, First In, Last Out shotgun and Berenger’s Memory Grenade Launcher. You can get Exodus Engrams by completing steps in the quest for Zavala called Exodus: Preparation.

The first step here is to go and speak to Zavala. He’ll let you know it’s down to us to protect the system now that the Pyramids have arrived and sends us on a quest around the planets that are going to be vaulted in Beyond Light – Titan, Io, Mercury and Mars.

Once you have spoken to Zavala, he’ll then send to you Sloan on Titan. What you have to do here is complete a Weekly Bounty from Sloane. There are 2 on offer and you have a choice of some activities – this might be running a strike, killing a few enemies somewhere specific on the map or running public events. Read the bounty and then get on with those activities.

When you have finished the activity head back to Sloane and you’ll get your Exodus Engram. Then head on over to the Umbral Decoder to decode the engram for a chance at a drop of this weapon. There’s a 1 in 4 chance of getting it.

If you want more Exodus Engrams, then keep on with the Exodus Preparation quest and you’ll visit Asher on Io, Brother Vance on Mercury and Ana on Mars. There’s some great lore available as well as more Exodus Engrams.

Once you have the weapons you can then focus your Umbral Engrams through the Prismatic Recaster to create more Exodus Focused Engrams. Once you have these focusing options you can narrow it down to a 50/50 chance for getting the Grenade Launcher, so much more of a chance to get the weapon you want.

I’m not a massive fan of Grenade Launchers at the best of times, but this one stuck out to me as useful and potentially lethal as you can pop off a number of shots in quick succession. There are good rolls here for both PVE and PVE and it can be a great addition for those wanting to create some spicy builds in Destiny 2. I’d definitely say pick it up and give it a go and get a few rolls. I like my demolitionist roll and keep that one on me at all times, however, it might be worth collecting a few rolls and keeping them in your vault

Let me know what you think of the Berenger’s Memory Grenade Launcher down in the comments and how do you think it compares to other power weapons.
