Destiny 2 – Season of Arrivals name revealed! Plus Fall DLC release date!

We’re less than 24 hours away from finding out about the next chapter in Destiny 2 with Bungie keeping their cards close to their chest regarding Season 11 and the Fall DLC. In the last few hours, we’ve had a listing on the PS4 store in Australia revealing a few new details. The following is a look at the new season name and fall DLC date reveals in PS4 listing.

For the first time, Bungie hasn’t been promoting their new season with trailers, roadmaps and other promotional material. Everything’s been kept under wraps with little detail at all being released about Season 11 which starts in just about 24 hours. Bungie made the decision to reveal not only the Season 11 details on June 9th 2020 but also the details of the Fall DLC too.

We got our first taster of details about the next season moments after the Almighty crashed into the EDZ on Saturday with localised translations of Season of [REDACTED] revealing Season of the Arrival or Season of the Visitors.

In a new twist today, it appears as if Season 11’s name has been revealed by a listing on the PS4 store in Australia. According to the listing, the name will be ‘Season of Arrivals’.

The listing, which is still there on the store, is for Silver and shows off not only the name of the new season but also provides some clues to the content that may be contained within the season.

The name ‘Arrivals’ is interesting as we knew The Pyramid Ships have arrived in our Solar System due to a cut scene in the game in recent days. But ‘Arrivals’ is plural, meaning we could be seeing more. Does this point to more than more Pyramid Ship? Or perhaps, this doesn’t refer to the Pyramids at all, and we’re set to receive another arrival. Does this mean Calus? How about more Travelers to fight against the Darkness?

Another detail we can see from this Silver Bungle listing on the PlayStation Store is in the background. We can clearly see here Hive symbols. The Hive was the focus of Shadowkeep, and we know that Eris is likely to be involved in next season and the Fall DLC due to the trailer that dropped last week. How the Hive will be involved we don’t yet know. There is a long time unfinished storyline with Savanthun, however, it doesn’t seem likely given the oncoming war with the Darkness. Given the frozen nature of the trailers, we could see once again the appearance of frozen Hive, as we saw introduced back in Warmind… we don’t have long to find out for certain now.

The final detail on the listing is a potential date for the Fall DLC, September 22 2020. I don’t know about you, but I’ve already booked that time off and am planning a little holiday to Europa about that time.

What we do know is we don’t have long to wait now. Bungie tomorrow will be holding a live stream at 9 am PT (which is about 5 pm here in the UK) and they’ll follow that up with the release of the new season just an hour later. It’s going to be a very busy day of Destiny news with the Fall DLC details and then everything that’s unveiled for Season 11.

I don’t know about you, but I’m very excited!

As always, let me know what you think down in the comments. What do you think of the name of the season and who else do you think is going to arrive along with the Pyramid Ships?
