Destiny 2 – Warlock PVE build with Nezarec’s Sin
Builds in Destiny 2 can transform the way you play the game and make seemingly mundane tasks and activities a whole lot more fun, and that’s the case today with this Warlock grenade and Super build. The following is a Warlock PVE build with Nezarec’s Sin.
This Warlock build is tuned for grenades and getting your Super as fast as possible so you can destroy all that gets in your path in PVE activities. When paired with the right perks, you turn into a grenade machine, all the while boosting your Super abilities. This build is good for Escalation Protocol, Blind Well, Altars of Sorrow – anywhere you have a lot of smaller enemies and you have to clear them out.
The ingredients for this build are:
- Attunement of Hunger (Bottom tree Voidwalker)
- Nezarec’s Sin (Exotic Helmet)
- Void weapons (with Demolitionist and Osmosis perks as a bonus)
- Ashes to Assets, Taking Charge and Firepower mods
Let’s have a look in a little more detail.
Class – Attunement of Hunger (Bottom tree Voidwalker)

Feed the Void – Consume your grenade energy to regenerate your health. Grants the Devour effect.
Devour – Kills with this melee ability fully regenerates your health. For a short time afterwards, kills restore additional health.
Insatiable – While the Devour effect is active, killing enemies extends it’s duration and recharges your grenade.
Vortex – Nova Bomb creates a singularity which continually damages enemies trapped inside. Kills with Nova Bomb grant Devour.
Exotic Armour – Nezarec’s Sin

This was introduced in season 1 of Destiny 2 and you can get it from random exotic drops or purchase from Xur on the weekend. The main intrinsic perk is Abyssal Extractors – Void-damage kills increase ability energy recharge rate.
Pairing up with Void weapons is going to be great here. We’re going to be using this with void weapons to help regenerate our grenades and melee abilities faster specifically for the grenades which are going to pair with Ashes to Assets for super ability regeneration.
Weapon Perks
Demolitionist – Kills with this weapon generate grenade energy. Activating your grenade ability reloads this weapon from reserves. This is a great perk for builds when paired with Ashes to Assets as we want to get our grenades back as much as possible to not only damage the enemies around us, but allow us to get super energy recharged faster.
Osmosis – Using your grenade ability changes this weapon’s damage to natch your subclass until you stow it. This is a useful perk as we can turn kinetic weapons into void weapons by using our grenade ability and subclass. With this, we now recharge our abilities faster through Nezarec’s Sin as we have a void kinetic. I’m using an Auto Rifle I got from Season of Dawn called Steel Feather Repeater with Osmosis.
It can be a pain to check through your vault for specific weapons and perks, so I recommend using Destiny Item Manager. You can easily check your perks and this can help speed up the creation of builds.
Weapons

Void weapons are great here as they work really well with Nezarec’s Sin for recharging abilities. Some examples are Claws of the Wolf, Hammerhead and Recluse.
Recluse is a great all-round weapon for clearing small enemies and then Hammerhead (from the Black Armoury Forges) is an awesome heavy weapons for boss DPS and ad clearing. Anything void will do, so check your vault and see what you’ve got.
If you have a void energy weapon that also happens to be demolitionist then you’re onto a winner.
Mods
- Ashes to Assets – Grenade kills grant Super energy.
- Taking Charge – Become Charged with Light by picking up Orbs of Light.
- Firepower – While Charged with Light regain a portion of your grenade energy when you use a grenade, consuming one stack of Charged with Light.
Ashes to assets is a great mod for builds, so if you can pick that one up then it’s useful across all classes. Taking Charge and Firepower is optional, but anything to help you get back your grenades will help in this build.
Finally, let’s put it all together and get out there into a PVE activity and see how it goes. I went into Escalation Protocol for testing this one.
Gameplay
- Run around throwing grenades and melee enemies to get Devour.
- Use Devour to heal and recharge grenades with Insatiable. Use Demolitionist perks on your weapons for a boost to recharging grenades.
- Use Osmosis for recharge grenades working with Nezarec’s Sin.
- Throw grenades to cause damage and build up Super energy with Ashes to Assets.
- Unleash your super.
- Rinse and repeat
