Explore a beautiful world with the help of magical portals in order to save your people from an evil that has ravaged your town. Unbound: World’s Apart is a 2D puzzle platformer that’s coming together to be a great game.
Core to this beautiful handcrafted world is the creation of portals and you use these to solve puzzles. You explore stunning environments as the dark fairy tale story opens up for you.
During the annual celebration of The Guardian, the World of Vaiya is attacked by mysterious evil forces. A few wizards manage to escape the attack but the world is now corrupted and packed with malevolent creations. The only hope now relays on Soli, as the old wizards are now too weak to fight back. Seeking revenge, because he lost his dearest little brother in this unforgiving battle, Soli has to use all his powers and find the way to fight back the evil and restore the peace in the World.
The core of Unbound is the magic portals which gives the player different mechanics to interact with through the game. Inside certain portals, the laws of physics and abilities of the character can change, opening up new and inventive ways to progress. Through the journey, you will encounter different bloodthirsty creatures that you have to use them to your advantage.

The game takes inspiration from other puzzle platformers with Metroidvania elements such as Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Hollow Knight. If you like these games, then you should check out this one.
Unbound: World’s Apart is created by a small indie studio from Bucharest Romania. The three-person team is made up of Sergiu, Olga and Andrei and together they’re working hard to bring the game to life. The development for Unbound started in 2016 as a hobby, but as the project started to shape up nicely the team decided in 2018 to go full time for Unbound.
Unbound: World’s Apart is currently in development, however, there’s a prologue available now on Steam which you should go and check out. It’s free and gives you a taste of the game.
