Destiny 2 – How to get Dire Promise (Legendary Hand Cannon)

Dire Promise has returned to the loot pool in Season of the Worthy and it’s climbing the charts in the popular weapon charts for competitive PVP and Trials of Osiris. The following is a guide for how to get Dire Promise.

There’s no 100 guaranteed way to farm for this weapon as it’s a world drop found in legendary engrams, so the best way to get the gun is by playing activities such as Seraph Tower public events, Strikes, Lost Sectors and Crucible. Looking around the community people have reported getting it by turning in tokens to Master Rahool too in the Tower, but in my experience, you also get a lot of armour pieces and I didn’t have any luck by turning in 200 shards… so it might be better to go for Legendary Engrams through Seraph Tower and Lost Sectors.

Dire Promise is a 150 hand cannon with 11 in the magazine. It’s got great impact stats 80, and pretty good handling. It’s also got a couple of good hidden stats with 87 aim assist and 84 recoil, so this one is going to feel pretty good playing with a controller.

It’s a lightweight frame hand cannon, allowing you to move faster with this weapon equipped. The curated roll comes with Triple Tap, when you land precision hits it returns a round to the magazine. It also comes with Steady Rounds for that increase in range and stability and Appended Mag for the increase in magazine size.

Let me know down in the comments what you think of Dire Promise. Where did you get yours? Did you drop loads of shards into Rahool, or did you find it out there in the world?

That’s it for this guide for how to get the Dire Promise. For more Destiny 2 content like this check out the Shadowkeep Guide or check out the YouTube Channel.
