Destiny 2 – How to get Dust Rock Blues (Legendary Shotgun)
Dust Rock Blues is a legendary shotgun first introduced to Destiny 2 during the Forsaken expansion. This shotgun is popular in PVP as the range is very decent. The following is a guide for how to get Dust Rock Blues in Destiny 2.
Dust Rock Blues is a popular weapon in competitive PVP and will most likely appear in Trials of Osiris so it’s worth farming this one to see if you can get that god roll.
The good news is this one is fairly easy to farm for and there’s a variety of ways to do it.
Probably the most reliable way to get Dusk Rock Blues is to farm through the Menagerie. The recipe for the chalice is a Rune of Wealth in the top slot and any blue rune in the left slot. You’ll need to have your chalice of opulence levelled up and you can access the chalice on your quests tab. If you need runes you can farm after getting the runefinder consumable from Werner on the barge on Nessus, or you can open chests (but make sure you have plenty of glimmer if you’re going down this route) on the barge also. Once you have the runes in the right slot, load up the menagerie, run through, kill the boss at the end and open the chest to get your Dust Rock Blues.
You can also farm for this on the EDZ. Go to the EDZ and land near Firebases Hades. Go to Pathfinder’s Crash Lost Sector, which you can check out on the map before you land. Hover over the Lost Sector icon on the map and the name should show up. Run through the Lost Sector as per normal and kill the boss, and there’s a chance legendary engrams drop here. If you’re lucky then you’ll get a drop of Dust Rock Blues.
If you want to continue farming, head on out of the Lost Sector and when you see the text prompt on the bottom left-hand corner of the screen you can turn around and the boss will have reset. Kill them again for another chance of a drop.
There are a few ways of farming this weapon, so pick the method that suits you and go for it to get the god roll. Once you get a roll you’re happy with, head into PVP and share it with your fellow Guardians.
Dust Rock Blues is a precision frame legendary shotgun found the kinetic slot, so it pairs well with good energy weapons. It’s got good range and impact stats which can drop with smoothbore for range and moving target for movement speed and target acquisition.
