Destiny 2 – How to get Twilight Oath (Legendary Sniper Rifle)
Twilight Oath is a deadly legendary sniper rifle in Destiny 2 and it was introduced in the Forsaken Expansion in 2018. However, even though it’s been around for some time it’s still as lethal as ever. The following is a guide for how to get Twilight Oath.
This is a sniper that’s great for PVP and is going to be very useful in the upcoming Trials of Osiris. To get this weapon you’ll want to head to the Dreaming City and do activities there or you can pick it up in the Menagerie. However, to pick up the curated roll of this weapon you’ll want to complete activities on the Dreaming City.
There are a few ways you can get this weapon on the Dreaming City
- Go and see Petra Venj and pick up the daily and weekly bounties, complete them and hand them in for a chance for the weapon to drop.
- Do the Ascendant Challenge for a chance for the weapon to drop.
- Tier 4 Blind Well also gives you a chance to get this weapon
To find Petra Venj check out the Dreaming City and you should see her there, you can place a waypoint and then go and visit her. Pick up all the bounties and run through them as quickly as you can and turn in the bounties. Hopefully, that will give you the drop you’re looking for.
For the Ascendant Challenge, you’ll need to pick up a tincture of Queensfoil, which is a consumable that can be found on the Dreaming City. Check out where the Ascendant Challenge is this week, and you’ll want to drink it and then hop through the portal. Run through to the end and open up the chest and once again there’s a chance the weapon can drop. A little note here that the weapon drop will only be on your first completion per week.
Finally, on the Dreaming City, you can head to the Blind Well. This is found in the middle of the Dreaming City location in the temple. You’ll generally find people doing Blind Well when you are in there, so team up with them and run through Tier 4 of the Blind Well.
Twilight Oath isn’t a guaranteed drop, and it’s part of a pool of weapons in the Dreaming City activities, however, keep grinding and eventually, Twilight Oath will drop for you.
As previously mentioned you can configure the Chalice of Opulence to pick this weapon up at the end of the Menagerie, however, you won’t be able to get the curated roll from the Menagerie.
Twilight Oath is a rapid-fire frame sniper, it’s solar damage and fires special ammo. The curated roll comes with Snapshot Sights for that quick aim, as well as Box Breathing which gives you a range a precision damage bonus when aiming down sights. This is a 140 RPM sniper with 5 in the magazine, so it’s nice and fast and will allow you to get a few shots off on your opponents.
Let me know down in the comments what you think of Twilight Oath. Is this something you’re going to be using in Trials or do you prefer other snipers – let me know.
