Destiny 2: Shadowkeep – Festival of the Lost 2019

Festival of the Lost is a seasonal event celebrating those who have departed and funny masks and it’s back in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. The following is a guide for Festival of the Lost 2019.

The tower’s been decorated to celebrate the festival and Eva Levante is back at the helm after taking a year off. Festival of the Lost 2019 is available for all players (including New Light), so it’s some nice free content for everyone. You do have to be 770 power to start though.

Speak with Eva to start and get a Masquerader Helmet to participate. Earn Chocolate Strange Coins from bounties and activities to purchase Festival of the Lost mask ornaments for your new helmet.

The Haunted Forest

The Haunted Forest is the main focus of Festival of the Lost which can be accessed from the Tower and also from the director menu. This is a timed mode where you have to beat as many enemies as possible in 15 mins. To enter the Haunted Forest you’ll want to wear your Masquerader’s Helm picked up from Eva Levante.

The objective here is to make your way through the Haunted Forest, killing all the enemies as you go and complete as many waves as possible before the time runs out. If you get to wave 9 you get a pinnacle reward, so it’s worth farming for as another pinnacle reward source.

How to get Braytech Werewolf Legendary Auto Rifle

The Braytech Werewolf Legendary Auto Rifle is the prize for the Festival of the Lost and it’s a fully masterworked 950 weapon, which should get you a nice bump in power if you’re not yet 950. Once you’ve picked up the weapon once, you can farm to get the perfect roll.

How to farm for candy and chocolate strange coins

You’ll need 1000 candy and complete the Master of Disguise Triumph to get your 950 Braytech Werewolf Legendary Auto Rifle. The Master of Disguise Triumph will likely be the most grindy part of this triumph as you’ll need 150 chocolate strange coins in total. To achieve this triumph you’ll need to buy all the masks from Eva Levante.

  • Hidden Swarm Mask – 10 Chocolate Strange Coins
  • Goblin Mask – 20 Chocolate Strange Coins
  • Mithrax Mask – 30 Chocolate Strange Coins
  • Opulent Calus Mask – 40 Chocolate Strange Coins
  • Drifter Mask – 50 Chocolate Strange Coins

There’s a couple of ways you can farm for candy and chocolate strange coins. Before you leave the tower you can pick up some candy and chocolate strange coins from the vendors in the tower. Go round the tower and speak to everyone to pick up your free gifts. Next to Eva Levante there’s a big tree – if you climb to the top then you’ll find more candy and chocolate strange coins.

Make sure you put on the Masquerader’s Helm and then you can complete Eva Levante’s bounties which will award you a couple of chocolate strange coins. The Haunted Forest rewards you some at the final chest at the end of a run and also you can pick these up in the Altar of Sorrows when you kill nightmares. Altar of Sorrows, found near Sorrow’s Harbour, is also a good way of farming for candy – you’ll likely get 1000 candy in a few runs.

Eververse updates

There are also lots of new items available in Eververse. From spooky scary skeleton armour ornaments to Jack-O’-Lantern masks. There’s also a nice looking broomstick sparrow. There’s also something for the PVP crowd with a tombstone for your defeated opponents

Festival of the Lost 2019 runs from October 29 to November 19 2019.
